Chicken and dumplings are my absolute favorite food!! I use chicken legs. My mom made the best but my kids and grandkids think mine are. I can’t make them without remembering her. Thanks for the recipe

I always did drop biscuit dough instead of cut dough..either way the best comfort meal ever!!..cornbread goes with soo many dishes or just cornbread in milk is my fav!..now I’m gonna try it your moms way and see which I like best..thanks for sharing!!

U got me wanting to make chicken & dumplings to me this is a fall dish on cold days my Mother always told me as soon as I drop your last dumpling in the pot remove the pot from the heat and they will continue to cook that way u never get a tough dumpling she also told me to never over mix your flour mixture u have to be quick about adding your water over mixing will cause to much gluten to form in the dough my mother always dropped hers by with a spoon my son in-laws makes these every Xmas and even uses turkey some times they are delicious

I did not like my Grandmother's chicken and dumplings. She always made the dumplings in long strips and they tasted gummy. Yours looks good. You made them into squares. Thanks for your time.
