Good result! For future reference, I'll point out that the combination of the late Shad spawn and shallow water, means there'll likely be a huge Shad die-off during Jan and Feb. where the entire lake will smell really bad. The good news, once they sink to the bottom, the cycle of these new conditions will likely precipitate a huge crawdad hatch in the spring.. their color changing from brownish/green in spring, to red in the fall. Understanding the natural cycles on Clear, will consistently put you on the quality fish throughout the different seasons. Oct. 2002 my team partner and I won a fully rigged 19' BassCat, in the Anglers Choice, western regional finals. The typical winning pattern prevailed, flipping clump grass in 5-7 feet of water w/hard slopping bottom. Green pumpkin/red flake 10" power worms and brush hogs... it's a pattern that works anywhere on the eastern shoreline, from Lucerne, down to Glenhaven...

Man that's a tough day compared to some of your videos but it's better than any tourney I've had this year. I asked you for advice on getting fish to cooperate on the ketch board. Thanks to your advice I've been giving them time to calm down when I could, and I got a first, second, and third place, with one big fish this year. Thanks a ton buddy, hope you keep it up!

Man that was exciting and suspenseful. The fellas were amusing and picking on each other as usual. Thanks to Mike for telling you about the crankbait bite. That sure helped to give confidence in the bait. Its all about decisions, do you leave or grind it out? Keep praying for some rain and the weather changes for you guys out west in the future.

I was super down on myself for only catching 4 yesterday and frustrated because the gopros overheated all day long. I couldn't find a bass today but got on a couple nice channel cats that wanted to battle. I've thrown the crankbaits so much that my arms are going ro fall off but your video has inspired me to keep throwing it through the millions of silversides. It's a grind out here for sure, every bass I catch is fat, fat, FAT so reaction is probably the best chance for a strike. Thanks again for all the efforts you put into making great content. Your style is an inspiration and I hope to say hi someday out on the water!

Great video and a great job of keeping the head game strong. Even though it didn't go the way you planned, it was still a successful outing!!! With winter coming up, I would like to see some offshore content. Guide us through your steps on breaking down the deep bite. You spend lots of time near shore. Get out there and find those big girls. NO DROP SHOTTING ALLOWED. You have mastered that. Do something that's not in your wheelhouse. You will thank me later!!! I think a 4-part series of "Offshore Schooling with Greg Blanchard" seems appropiate....lol! DO YOU ACCEPT THE CHALLENGE????
@GregBlanchardFishing2 жыл бұрын
I like that idea for sure! I bet even this fall we'll get off shore and spend much more time looking at the graph. can't say ill leave the the spinning rod behind but ill try to get them to react more so. It's way more fun anwyways
