Never been into fishing based around moon phases but I will say this early morning bite seemed to be just the big girls after a full moon. Had a bit of a lull throughout mid morning but the quality fish still seemed to be biting.

Growing up, my dad almost strictly bass fished at night. So if you wanted to go, you went at night. Full moon was always THE time to be on the water.

Both moon phases work for different parts of the season. Tidal systems (Delta) full moon seems to be the better between the 2. However the New moon can be great on lakes in the day and Full at night cuase the vision factor. I believe this also changes in Fall and Winter Vs. The warmer months of the year. Lots of variables for sure. Nice Bag Greg.

You have to try the SPRO popping frog, it has a good hookup ratio and is super finesse

Yeah it is a good frog. But the new 6th sense popping frog has benched my spro popping frog. It walks way easier, the body shape is better, its skinny and small... hooks are amazing, the body is softer, etc. The frog with the best hookup ratio I’ve ever used is the new scum frog launch. The hooks are amazing and the body super soft, and it actually looks like a frog its not like old scum frogs. Then for really finesse...I like the jackall kaera frog. Just a tiny, awesome frog. Or the river2sea small bully wa.

Greg, I notice that for the most part your hook sets are parallel to the water opposed to up! I fish from a kayak ( not as well as you) and I find myself missing bites due to sweeping hook sets. Just a thought. Tight lines. Stay safe.

Greg Blanchard I commented on a video a couple weeks ago when you first started really trying the buzz bait, try the d&m custom slow roller buzz bait. Plastic blade you don’t have to work as hard to keep it up and I seem to get a lot more bites on it

@@Justin.Hawkins I guessed chatter, frog, punch, drop/senko. Buzzbait surprised me too. I really don't like the toad body on a buzzbait have much more success on a skirt with a trailer hook also. I catch most of my big bass on a buzzbait in late spring, summer and early fall. By far my number one big fish lure. Also, I retrieve it fast, looking for reaction strikes. Works well for me

Unpopular opinion I guess, but I think a head cam angle would providea much better vantage point. I know most youtube anglers use chesties, but I don't understand why when the reeling hand is always blocking the view. I like seeing where the bait lands and looking at the rod tip to see bites. Headcam just makes you feel like you're on a 2nd story with a deluxe view. What do you thing Greg, try it out once?

I took a 2.5hr drive today to Stockton delta at Buckley Cove park with my kayak for the first time ever and there were so many boaters. I couldn't ever kayak properly and just gave up because there would eventually be no bites with massive waves crashing. Pretty disappointed, does anyone has any recommendation where there would be less traffic?

Your frog rod looks soft. I tried fishing frogs on med heavy to get more action but I sacrificed my hookups. I switched back to extra heavy and get my action from the reel not the rod.
