Thanks for sharing. I’m buying a DJI mavic mini and access to the ArcGIS suite... what should my expectations be ?

Hi I will using a multispectral (Flir Duo R Pro) camera to detect temperature differences on the ground. I imagine your 3 cautions apply to a thermal camera as well, right?

The multispectral automaticly corrects when there is a cloud coming by. It has a light sensor so the second problem is fixed😅

Is there any way to get in touch with you

Do you recommend mapir? For beginners???

You discovered if the purchase of the Mapir camera is a good option?

Cecilia, in my opinion, Sequoia is the most recommended for beginners

'Inconsistent light conditions': isn´t this an issue that we should assume is fixed by additional light sensors that come with the camera, like MicaSense Red Edge, or Slant Range 3p, or Parrot Sequoia? Now I´m confused. I thought those light sensors were supposed to take care of it.

I'm wondering exactly the same thing, I thought the combination calibration target before and after flight + irradiance sensor allow the sensor to calculate reflectance?

Hi Frederico, I also thought the incoming light sensor would solve these problems, but alas! Under partly cloudy conditions sometimes the drone/sensor will be in different lighting conditions than the ground that is being sensed. So the incoming light sensors are great for solving problems associated with differing quality of incoming light across different flights or days or seasons. However, they don't represent a complete solution for variable light conditions that occur during an individual flight. I was pretty disappointed when I first learned this (directly from MicaSense) but now it's just a part of my work plan.

I have the 3p with the light sensor and I still get "spots" from light differences when the sun goes behind clouds and then pops back out. The light sensor helps, but still causes very noticeable artifacts and requires me to re-fly.

Matt Huff So, 3p? I'm thinking of getting one myself (well 3px + M200). Are you happy with it, do you really take advantage of the image processing? Is it as fast as advertised, as opposed to all others?
@mhuff296 жыл бұрын
Can't say for others as its the only one I have owned. It is fast though just have to make sure and calibrate and put the settings in slantview correctly for type of plant. This is more trial and error for me, but good practice anyhow. I would also add that they are very helpful if you are having issues with a map and can help remedy problems if they arise. I am also interested in Sentera's products, but haven't pulled the trigger as of yet.
