Gregg wrote this song at the Big House on an ironing board cause he couldn't find paper.! Every version of this song he does is fabulous. Ride on Midnight Rider! Can continues to be lit daily in honor and memory.

Saw the GAB last night. Bruce Matson was on piano, replacing Bruce Katz on B3. The band absolutely kicked ass all night! Gregg was in fine form.. Great to see him healthy and singing so well. I've had to wait two months to play until recovered from back surgery. I can only imagine how difficult it must have been for him not to be playing while he was going through the liver transplant. An added plus for me last night was getting to meet Jerry Jemmott, the bass player in the GAB. Great guy!

@LisaDawnn Stage volume! The partition keeps the drummer's volume only as high as the other musicians or singers on stage want it to be in their monitors, and only as high as the sound engineer wants it to be in the main speakers for the audience. Otherwise, each musician keeps fighting to hear their own instrument over everyone else, and the band become too loud. Also, the partitions are more common in smaller venues where the drums could overpower the room. Good question!
