With respect , his name is not Rumi.His correct name is Molana or his last name is Balkhi not Rumi....He was Iranian poet and philosopher was borned in Balkh in today Afghanistan and most if his poets are in Farsi and very few in Turkey....bacause of the attack of Gengis Khan ( Mongolian s) he and his family moved to Khorasan , the Southern state of Iran and met Attar ; the great poet, philsopher , Attar looked at Molana and told his father that your son will be a great man in future....Molana in one his poems admires Attar and says he is reached the peak of knowledge and i am just begginer on this way...and then they moved to Ghonieh in todays Turkey( by that time it was called East Rome and West Rome that East was under the rule of Persia and the other part under Romans....and he died there....p.s. the time that all these happened , today Afghanistan and many central Asians lands were under Persian Empire and was extended to Danub River in Austria and Germany. Recently they fiund undeground Tunel in Turkey that was built by Persian Empire ( Hakhamaneshian)....in the time that the was called East and West Romans....so Molana lived and died there but it does not mean to call him Rumi....Thank you....
