My sweet love, Johnny, says that smooth jazz is good stuff to listen to, especially on a quiet evening. I agree wholeheartedly with him. Whenever I have a stressful day, I just put on some smooth jazz, and imagine I'm on the beach with my sweet love, bathing in the sun, sitting on the sand drinking virgin strawberry daiquiris, listening to the ocean. I used to listen to KUJZ in Eugene, Oregon, especially when I was at work at Aurora Glass Company, packaging computer components. Sadly, one day while I was there, the station changed formats. One moment, they were playing smooth jazz, the next moment it was country! I say, what a pity in the city!

Great music. Listened to this repeatedly during the pandemic in isolation. Listening to this also kept my mind occupied while driving from the west coast to the mid-west during that time. Covered 1,800 miles in 2 days.

Always been a fan of Gregg and this song in particular. If I remember correctly, Allen Hines was the guitarist on this song, and the dark and smooth sound mixed perfectly with Gregg's piano. One of those songs you can seriously relax to until it ends and you have to find the replay button. The whole album is fantastic.

Wow, I remember this tune back when the WAVE 102.5 was the Tampa Bay area's jazz station. I didn't realize it then, but the mid 80s was a really good time to be in Tampa Bay enjoying the jazz scene. Saddening that corporate interests today have deliberately killed jazz on mainstream stations. Contrary to popular belief, modern jazz is still popular with many in the over 25 crowd.

I really got into smooth jazz in 2006. It was after college, in South Florida (Ft Lauderdale/Miami). Love 94.9 was my go to and this was one of the first I fell all in love with along with 'Grazin in the Grass'

there's something kinda special about traveling at night. you get to see cities illuminated and for some odd reason even the restaurant food tastes better. I love the feel of the sun but truly love the night. It's a common thing to party all night and when you leave the club the sun is shining and everybody makes a mad dash for breakfast and coffee. the Night Shift...ain't nothing like it.

Going to a local 24 hour café/restaurant, seeing others who work the bar scene, meeting new people, conversation, the smells of breakfast, burgers and fries. The buzz of conversation turns into a relaxing drone. Miss those days long gone for me.

I used to hear this tune on 94.7 KSSJ in Sacramento, CA from 2000 to 2009/2010 during my childhood! I'm still bummed that they removed the Smooth Jazz station...but thanks to KZbin and iTunes and I have found many, many artists I grew up listening to. :)
