Don't let your guard down, use this as a fuel for the next 3-4 seasons and as a motivation. Just go back to the drawing board, review the tapes, find where you need to improve, be strong, stay motivated and support each other just like you did this season. I'm a #1of yours. I love you all. Just find that core that will motivate you guys more. Always SMILE & BE HUMBLE on every play before and after, on or off court. I wish you guys could go training in Thailand, and you'll see what I'm saying. Good luck and we'll see you guys next season with stronger determination & motivation. We believe in you. GO BIG RED.

I know loosing sucks but there is a difference between confidence and arrogance. And Harper is just pure arrogance. That night she played like a freshman and Texas made the whole team look like amateurs. And Cooks comment at the end throwing shade a Texas program not cool. Take the loss and move on don't be bitter.

Completely agreed with author, I have grown up in this sport and this was arrogance. Texas exposed her weaknesses and instead of owning up and being humble about that she sounded entitled. The whole tone from coach to players is whiny. Cmon guys, how many titles does Nebraska have and you still finished 2nd, how about some gratefulness for the opportunity?

He always does that. He threw big time shade at the Washington program that will not take ladies like Harper just to win when they swept a then #1 ranked Nebraska team. Not cool. That team had courtney thompson and remarkable young ladies. Not harper murrays of the world.

Yep they were one of only two great teams to reach the title game. The only 1 seed to make it. No reason to hang ur head and be disappointed but losing that way still sucks and is gonna hurt for a while.

They finally ran into the buzzsaw that is TX. They have too much experience with upperclassmen who have played on the USA national team and been able to mentor the younger players. The difference was obvious. Even though their previous games were much closer than this i think that TX was out to show that NE wasn't as good as they were hyped to be. They wanted to show everyone that they were overrated. Thats what was driving them. NE hasn't faced that level of play all year. They got hit in the mouth from the start and never recovered. I didnt expect a sweep thou. And Harper's prediction on three straight titles was unbelievable. Winning one is hard. Two is difficult. No team has ever won three in a row. For a freshman to say that is mind boggling. But that was just her emotions speaking. And good luck with that.

What cook’s statement is not good to his team, it’s contagious not to accept defeat and doesn’t believes that Texas is better than them at least in this season. Really contagious that the players’ emotions are evident of this especially of Allick’s. It’s not helpful in anyways.

They are young, confident, talented, but very cocky. They were too cocky coming in and still are. This beatdown should take the edge off of that cockiness and make them better. If it doesn't, they will fail again.

Congrats, Lady Huskies, you did make the championship and that says volumes. There may be a reason for their loss not dealing with technicalities or stats, but that is something else. I hope they come back better next year. Congrats to Texas, without Maddie they would have never gotten this far.

It turns out that Skinner is part of the team and it would be foolish to think that Texas would play without her. All the Texas players did their part, Swindle, Asjia, Molly, Barnes, Akana, Halter and Wenaas. Skinner alone would not have beaten Nebraska either. It was an unobjectionable team win. They came to win and they got it.

They said they were invincible, that they were superior to everyone, that they would take care of Texas, that they were to win many championships, they made fun of the other teams. It is because of this arrogance that today they are hurting from defeat. Texas mopped the floor with Nebraska. The lesson they should learn is that you don't win games before you play them, you have to play them first.

Many thanks to all the Lady Huskers for a fabulous season. Let's not forget that Coach Cook lost Whitney Lauenstein before the season and lost Lindsay Krause late in the season. You can't lose players that talented and expect to compete for a national championship. Yet this team did. If we get all of these battled-tested players back in 2024, plus a decent freshman class, we should be in the mix again.

Look, I get being disappointed when losing, especially when you’ve worked so hard to achieve such a huge win. However, the way Harper (& Allick a little too) responded especially showed a completely terrible side. She was the epitome of a sore loser and definitely showed her immaturity. Cook should’ve never had them there.

Cook is right about the transfer portal. He likes building, coaching from the ground up. He wants to see these women gain skills beyond a championship. Having championships don't produce Pro Volleyball players, alone olympic volleyball players

It does actually and Cook sound alike a sore loser, considering that Beason is a transfer from Florida. And in case you haven’t noticed most of Nebraska players transfer out of that school to Texas or a different school because they want to win. Yeah Cook wants to “build “ his players from the ground up but the end goal is to win a NATTY and Nebraska hasn’t done that since 2015 I believe so 🤷🏽‍♀️ maybe he should take advantage of the portal more instead of complaining .

@@ashleeshenanigans Having transfers vs building & coaching from the ground up is like adapting a bunch of teenagers vs raising kids from birth. Coach Cook wanna build & coach from the ground up, because to integrate transfers is not as easy as many people think. Texas had a lot more transfers last year than this year, and found a way to get them play as a team. Coach Cook probably had no bad intentions, just did not come out right when he said it in public.
