as he should be. i regard him as high as any RB that's been through here. his injuries really held him back. but his loyalty in this day and age was special. once a husker, always a husker and i would bet he's welcome at any dinner table in the state.

The Iowa rivalry has been nasty for like 6 years now, idk why the media has been so hesitant to embrace it. There is not a team in the country I hate more than the Hawkeyes.
@michaeldalton837418 күн бұрын
Because a true rivalry has BOTH teams winning. Since Bo, that has been a one-sided affair.
@spencersmith437318 күн бұрын
@michaeldalton8374 the only ingredient necessary for a rivalry is hate, and believe me I know a ton of Iowa fans and the hate is mutual.
@RyanHaase-n5j18 күн бұрын
Other than the week Nebraska plays Iowa in football, or the two games Nebraska plays them in basketball, a lot of us don’t care about Iowa. Now Iowa fans do seem to care about Nebraska. By all means, treat Iowa like a hated rival. For me, I don’t care about them.
@isaacrinne649817 күн бұрын
There are older Nebraska fans who act like it isn’t a rivalry. Many of them are shocked at how long we’ve actually been in the big ten for😂

It's not just the snapping that's the issue. Returns are non-existent
@NOCOHusker18 күн бұрын
The lack of return yardage isn't necessarily all coaching. Not as much as the snapping issues at least.

don't forget mickey joseph as a recruiter. had personal problems, but, he can coach and he could recruit.
@mikesmith-nj1ij18 күн бұрын
So glad to get these Florida boys in here and now that we have the coach back in the fold even better. But just as you said with Vince Marrow... If the coach leaves, will the kids leave? It's amazing they stuck around even though lead recruiter left... Granted he was an analyst.... So we're sitting a little better than we have been in the past... I guess it means we make sure these guys never leave for a better job when Alabama, Georgia and Ole Miss come calling

You guys can just do a show everyday if you want. They don’t even need to be about the Huskers
@sethcanas960418 күн бұрын
Special teams had bigger problems then just long snapper the coverage and blocking was a joke all year change needs to be made
@mikesmith-nj1ij18 күн бұрын
Seriously, what are you trying to fix? We probably had the worst special teams in division one. So our solution is to go get better players??? Our boss is the worst boss in America... But don't worry, we got better employees for him so our company will surely be much improved next year. That's how ridiculous it will be if we keep Matt rule around

Peter Lugers compared to Mastros is tough look. Nowhere close. However, great show and great place. Johnny Carson (Nebraska) calls Lugers the best steak he's ever had. He has a photo right as you walk out the front door. Hopefully you saw!

Sip, if I hadn't quit drinking years ago, I'd grab a fifth of Johnny Walker Black, some good cigars, drive to Lincoln, and look you up. We'd get drunk while you told me Husker football stories. It would be legendary. Unfortunately, the last time I drank, I wound up in Blackwell, Oklahoma dead broke.

Why does everyone ignore Mac Markway in the tight end room? I assume they ignored Fidone because they know he’s leaving.
@HuskerOnline17 күн бұрын
We need to see him return healthy and know his timeline. He’s now suffered I believe three major knee injuries since HS.
@RyanHaase-n5j17 күн бұрын
@ We definitely need to see what his health is, but he was a true freshman who played 12 games for LSU. He would immediately be our best blocking tight end, if healthy. Everyone ignores his existence, from you down to the casual fan. Tight end room is deep.

one troubling ass fact is how much the BC game look like every other game he played this year ... Almost every plot twist .. special teams! Turnovers... Great on first and second down but can't get the stop on 3rd and long ...mistakes.... missed turnover opportunities . Missed turnover opportunities ...nearly giving the game away Obviously there was a limited time in Bowl practices but it was a a decent amount of time to try some new things. But the results were essentially the same.
@mikesmith-nj1ij18 күн бұрын
Really excited about special teams next year. Matt rule went to get the best players on the market in order to overcome Ed Foley's bad coaching. Hopefully none of the players listen to what he has to say next year if he's still on the staff. It might sound cruel but how do you listen or respect a coach that did the worst job and division one special teams.... Perhaps ever. I know there was no improvement over the entire year.... But we're getting better players so hopefully that will overcome some of our coaches ineptness. Like there was no improvement... I can't even wrap my head around that.... Zero improvement and the mad just kept showing up to work everyday.
@mikesmith-nj1ij18 күн бұрын
Near heresy to Husker fans. But you make some good points on Barney. He has had a lot of touches but what is he done with the ball? I don't love his constant jet sweeps and wide receivers screens... So part of it is play design. But if you want to see a dynamic receiver, Luke, go look at Luther Burden highlights from his freshman and sophomore year... now that's a game changer. Yes, I know there are not a lot of Luther Burdens... But that's a dynamic WR and that's what we need. I don't actually see a lot of that from Barney. Is he overhyped?
