Hey Greg, just wanted to tell you THANKS for the recommendation for the rechargeable airbrush sprayer. TEMU has a nice green one for 21$! I didn't even realize such a critter even existed!---No noisy air compressor nor aggravating lengthy hose to work around. A huge bonus to my work! Thanks Tons!🤠👍 (edit: Wouldn't mind seeing you do a tutorial on how you mix your non airbrush acrylic paint for different artistic effects)

You treated my OCD with kindness. As I watched the video I kept thinking to myself, “Okay I still see a harsh demarcation line between the yellow and what has become orange. Blend a little more here.” And it’s as we were communicating across space and time, because there you went! Absolutely beautiful! Probably not much of a compliment coming from me as I’m not even an artist. But my eyes are happy. 😂 Thank you, thank you!

I'm surprised by how much water is used. Word on the street is that too much water may affect the paint binding, so I have always mixed some medium plus water (I do see your opinion in the video that the amount of water you use doesn't affect the binding).
@hrr22211 ай бұрын
Exactly. What is the problem to people to just use medium?
@afanaobeba787611 ай бұрын
That anti-water lie came from some KZbin video some lady made. She blocked all comments so that people can’t correct her. You can literally use acrylic as a watercolor and the paint will work just fine. You can thin, glaze etc acrylics using water only and it will be JUST FINE

Ingenious! Price wise it's terrific, but😅 it's a gamble. I'll tell you why. The metal part that cramps the bristles is not made to be soaked in water. Be very careful. It's usually a one hit wonder. You don't want loose bristles stuck to your art work. Too bad everything has been over priced these days. There are certain art brushes that are a hundred dollars or more!

Do you have a similar tutorial showing the blending technique , but using a larger canvas , say 40 x 50 cms and how to keep the paint wet on a larger canvas . It's just that it is easier for me to see on a larger canvas , but can not keep the paint wet . Thanks very much 😊

Very nice and beautiful and well done. In my painting, the sun is about half an inch, how i blend the sun that looks better? or how i can blend a small area in a painting? Thanks.
@GregLowmanArt10 ай бұрын
To blend small you can use a smaller brush like a round or filbert, get the bristles just wet enough to break up the paint, do circles on the color changes, and continuously wipe the bristles off when they fill w/ paint. Skip the last step and don't go over the area with a dry brush to avoid smearing/streaking. You can blend pretty much anything doing this, even smooth skin tones - kzbin.info/www/bejne/qnWWiXh9lraqrck

How do you know when you used to much water? I'm guessing the quality of the paint helps because they probably have better binding than the cheaper ones...idk. I tried painting couple years ago and my pictures kept cracking
@GregLowmanArt10 ай бұрын
Your paint should never crack, even after many years - applying it too thick or using a cheap brand is usually what causes that. A good paint will even allow for watered-down glazes and washes without cracking/peeling. You may want to try one of the paints below and shoot for a creamy consistency like shown in the video: Liquitex - amzn.to/3UX6XVz Winsor & Newton - amzn.to/3Telf2P Golden - amzn.to/3UW5HC4
