I was about to die from an overdose in my apartment in Miami all alone after so many different drugs…I went to grab my phone and I couldn’t even see what I pressed and out of no where KZbin started and this song played. My heart was beating out of my chest and then the room turned white and I felt at peace. My heart slowed down and I survived. Jesus Christ is real people. He saved my life...

@@deirdremaker *********God help you, I will keep you in my prayers So, you are taking the 'testimony' of someone who freely admits they were on MANY drugs and was feeling like they were overdosing, as legitimate? From the description, he/she was high as a kite, didn't know what buttons they were pushing on their phone because their heart was beating so hard etc... and lo and behold.. the music calmed them down, as music like this is likely to do... and helped them de-escalate the feeling of panic etc... and while admittedly HIGH had a vision of the room turning bright and they calmed down... and NOW, says that it was a god? Is this rational or is it more likely they hallucinated the whole thing WHILE HIGH AS A KITE? There is absolutely NO good and convincing evidence that gods or prayers exist/are effective in the slightest... the ONLY thing prayer is good for is to possibly calm the one praying, like meditation or mindfulness techniques or to allow the one praying feel useful when they are doing the very very least they can do to help?

I listened to this song as an atheist nonstop for hours back in 2019 because it felt like my soul was getting cleansed from listening to it. That year I had an encounter with the Holy Spirit and heard from God for the first time in my life. Since then I’ve dedicated my life to Christ and now I am a confirmed Catholic. This song is so special to me. Thank you so much for the upload. This song has changed my life forever ❤

Pray for my friend Kurt please. Stage 4, he was told today that it's 3-6 months. The healing music I go for isn't this, but it's Pink Floyd Ummagumma, their least known album from 69. It's chaos with a theme of underlying goodness. You just have to listen to it from start to finish, no fast forwarding, and the songs "Astro Dominie" (a live version on Ummagumma) and David Gilmours solo contribution to the album called "The Narrow Way Part 1, 2, and 3". Listen to the Narrow Way and you'll see where I am. Where my best friend of entire life is. This music here is ok, but it's nothing compared to that specific album. I too will pray for everyone with any difficulties, illnesses, or any hate or fear, suffering in their hearts. God is here to help. I still believe a miracle is going to happen. Don't know what form it will come in, but there will be one. But the Floyd song Narrow Way part 3 says (and it's true for all of us, each one) but: Following the path as it leads towards the darkness in the north Weary stranger's faces show their sympathy They've seen that hope before And if you want to stay for a little bit Rest your aching limbs for a little bit Before you the night is beckoning And you know you can't delay You hear the night birds calling you But you can't touch the words they sing Close your aching eyes beyond your name Mist is swelling, creatures crawling Hear the roar get louder in your ears You know the folly was your own But the force behind can't conquer all your fears And if you want to stay for a little bit Rest your aching limbs for a little bit Before you the night is beckoning And you know you can't delay You hear the night birds calling you But you can't touch the restless sky Close your aging eyes beyond your name Throw your thoughts back many years To the time when there was life in every morning Perhaps a day will come When the nights will be as clear as on that morning And if you want to stay for a little bit Rest your aching limbs for a little bit Before you the night is beckoning And you know you can't delay You hear the night birds calling you But you can't touch the words they sing Close your aging eyes beyond your name

alcaholism drugs can be triggered of at any age any time by anyone any age never judge, alcaholism and drugs are like a form of relaxation they use it to relax and beofore you know there hooken on it, stress, preasure seeing the way this world is and no one understands you when you can not talk to anyone, alcahol and drugs arent responsable for the evil in this world, no one is all evil we have our own inner demons to fight no one is perfect, and if you have plbs in the house for any reason wethere its one of the parents siblings you can`t talk to that can cause it, heck all have one of those we all have dady issues of some kind, thats why going to confesstions is good priests arent allowed to blab as to say it is considered as sacralige to brab but going to confesstions even if you confess your since or and just a short chin wag like venting trust me I am a catholic who does that and you would gut yourself laughting at the good advice some priests give you, like my dad can be so imature control freek on an off like a 77 year old menaposal woman, I said to the priest some times I feel like to kill him he drives me nuts, do you know the priest sayed to me, as long as you think it and don`t do it, I was so bloody gob smaked he is so quick whited 🤣, I know in protetism they don`t have confesstions but I know some protesants who go to there church the just pops in for confesstions the back to there church, weird eh?, but nothing stopping them from doing so, its there choice, there nothing hurts anyone going to confesstions its better than AA, or should I say AA means Alcaholics Anonymouse 🤣, some times stress, preshure or even showing of to your friends, being married, devorce, a seperation a misscarage, a bad argument, a death depresstions of a cross person, If you seen cow boy firlms a man walking in and drowning his sorrow to relax and the bar tender says wow boy you must be going throught a rought time if your drinking so much, how brave one is well that just normal for anyone, so I never judge, I do not have a drinking plb, I am more of a bookaholic I mean, I love books so much I read the front to back like a conver belt from oldest to newest then when I see my 2 bookshelfes row I am out buying more books then I would by sets and more books for my birthdays and christmass I have almost 400+ book and I can not pass a book outlet or book store whithought me buying books, infact my parent baned me from going out which suits me I am indoorsy person anaway, my mum tells me I need to get a grip of myself and I have enought books, and when they say I look at them as like they condemed me, an I know for shure its true but I dont whant to give it up yet, I read betweem 48-86 books a year all depending and yes I eat and sleep and work, but I do not have kids etc because people handle stress and pressure and use the any of these things to relaxe and in any addiction if it make you nippy narcy, cranky do not judge them, its not there fault if that person dosent have a bad temper of any kind or a deffencive streak and the alchaholism or deugs make him relax then when someone steps on his toes bang it is like a vulcano erupting so if its not in you it would not happen its a form to relax its not the addiction doing so, just be there for them be brave for them guide them, do not be angry try to understand them talk to them let them trust you become there light in there darkness show them what they struggle to see love and let them vent, if its meant to be it is meant to be they must come out of it on there own if one keeps pushing and pushing then that will make there addiction worse you only push people to rebel or over the edge or to suicide they need someone to trust, always be there for them, be there mountain and foundation and there rock to lean on you never know whats underneath a shell to you crack it opened but do not do it in violence be kind and gentle they need a friend to see him/them for who they are or why they do it not another enemy, there is enough darkness these days and we all know the light only shines in the darkness

A few months ago, when I was feeling empty and exhausted, I went to a chapel near my house. Sitting in the quiet darkness, I suddenly felt a strong presence of God. It was like an invisible hand was placed on my shoulder, I felt comforted and loved. The experience brought tears to my eyes, realizing that I had neglected my soul. From then on, I began to spend time every day in prayer and meditation. Peace and hope returned, God renewed my soul and gave me purpose in life.

@@QuitYourBullshit I'm confused. This thread is talking about around 1000AD, on a video about Gregorian chants (around 800-1100AD). You respond by mentioning the Salem Witch Trials, which were in 1692-3, or 700 years after the height of Gregorian chant's development. And then you invoke Hectate, an ancient Greek goddess who has nothing to do with 1000AD, Gregorian Chanting, early Christendom, latter Christendom, or even really witchcraft. In which case I can only assume you're a Wiccan of some sort? Can't be a properly Germanic tradition, unless it's a unified system. Though that doesn't matter either way; even then, neither the Salem Witch Trials nor any form of pagan belief (real or modern) has anything to do with this video *or* the comments you are responding to. The world was *significantly* different between 800 and 1000AD, let alone the extreme difference between pre-Norman Christian England and the Colonial era of North America... it's like someone mentioning their 90 year old Grandfather and someone else saying "oh yeah, the oldies are really interesting, I know someone who turned 35!" as if both can be mouthed as "old" in the same sentence. So yeah, confused.

Jesus saved me from my troubles, and continues to do so. Walking in the way of the Holy Spirit is the only true way to live, no other way can give life real meaning, or real happiness, or the joy of everyday life such as this. I was going to put a post asking if any Hindu people out there and how do they find this? I started out Christian... and two years ago began to learn about sanskrit and vedic chants and found so many connections between vedic chants and Christian chants and oddly Druidism . Its so good when you begin to see the truth coming through all these different faiths. And through the music ! 🕉

I’ve had countless sleepless nights, reflecting on what went wrong. Despite all our hard work, we always seemed to end up broke. Then one night, I came across a comment about Gregorian chant that helped clear their worries and remove negativity from their life. Intrigued, I searched for it here in KZbin and listened... I fell asleep, and when I woke up, I felt surprisingly light. I continued listening every night, and gradually, things began to improve. Our home is feeling better, our finances are starting to turn around. Faith & prayers can truly transform our life.

It makes me think of a verse from the Bible: the Lord lives, or is present in the praises of his people. (Paraphrased) although we know God or the Divine is always with us and within us, I believe that certain music facilitates a communion of soul and the Spirit, and invokes the Presence.

If I'm not mistaken, Gregorian Chants are the music St. Gregory heard as the angels singing praise to God. If that's the case, I imagine that's why you and I both feel so wonderfully moved hearing this.

Please consider the Catholic Church. It is the only church that the priest consecrates the host and wine into Jesus' real body & blood. I wondered how this was possible, since we still see the host and wine. If you Google "Eucharistic Miracle in Buenos Aires" you will see the scientific proof that Jesus becomes the actual body & blood of Christ. "If you do not eat of my body and drink of my blood, you have no life within you." The verse can be found in a concordance. I welcome you with open arms. God Bless you.
