This is what I love so much about the Tiny Desk Concerts.. I see the thumbnail and think 'No idea who that is' I listen to it for a minute or so and think 'Mmm I don't really listen to this stuff much' 19 mins later I say "That ruled! I'm downloading everything I can find and moving to Colombia!"

Yo ando activamente buscando artistas locales no tan conocido, le dedico a eso buena parte de mi tiempo, e igual uno cae a conocer a este tipo de artistas más pequeños por puro chance. Por supuesto Alejo, La cumbia nació allí en medio de la Colombia anfibia, pueblos y corregimientos aislados de las grandes ciudades cuyas carreteras eran Rios, gracias al maestro Lucho Bermudez que la dió a conocer porque le puso frack con su gran orquesta tipo big band y eso la hizo internacional, hoy por hoy toda la Cumbia suena en America latina gracias a eso y es el mejor regalo que le pudo dar Colombia a America.

Yeh, those small diatonic accordions come in different keys. Impressive accordionist. Usually if someone is playing bass in the group they don't even bother playing the bass keys.

IDK why but when I heard about his song Atlas ...I thought of Calle 13...many people know him bc of Atrevete-te-te ....but he has some of the most meaningful and powerful songs I have ever heard about the human experience!! I.e La Bala and Latinoamerica ... Additionally, some very romantic sweet ones like Ojos Color Sol...to top it off the music video has some amazing imagery! He really has wide range of material would love to see him on tiny desk.
