These are some of the best photos I've been able to capture at Deadvlei. Having that dark background and side light on such a unique subject really does make for some insane landscape images. Hope you guys like the video. I will upload the next one next Sunday right here. Stay tuned.

Great video. That's not your everyday landscape, thanks for ideas.

Yeah these landscapes are super unique. Kinda why I tried to tailor the video for those looking to visit and photograph the Sossusvlei area. The tips work for other travel photography locations in general but you are right, this is not your everyday landscape.

Awesome video and you came away with some very amazing images as well mi Amigo! You and Brendan make a great team and always enjoy (when I have time) watching your videos. I remember watching Brendan several years ago doing the 5k run out of the this park to his car to avoid being locked in for the night. Cheers ~Ron

Face like a bachelors mattress at 15:41 Greg. Nice trick with the lens flare but didn't the lens hood block that out?
@gregorsnell2 жыл бұрын
Mr. Hardcastle. Watched your latest double video in one. Shitty about the storm taking all the leaves away. You know I don't use a lens hood. BTW I'm switching to Sony just as Nikko McPage says he's switching to Canon 😅 He obviously never tried the A1.

@@gregorsnell yeah, once you try the A1 all other systems start to look more attractive.

Very nice!! Sorry, but short gear question - Would you prefer a 100-400 or a 200-600 for Namibia all together (Etosha, deadvlei etc) ?
@gregorsnell9 ай бұрын
100-400. Without a doubt.

Hello from Niagara-on-the-Lake. Also, coincidentally, we’ll be in Hamburg in September where my camera of choice will be my beloved Ricoh GRIII. Anyway, I digress. Amateur photographer and normal travel gear is a Fuji X-Pro2 with an 8mm, 16-55mm, and a 70-300mm which if we do go to Namibia will be well used. Re the reach I think the 300 will do fine especially with Photoshop enhancement and Topaz AI and the image will already be compressed. One question, I love using a PL but unsure it’s useful the this environment but would a GND be useful when there is the sky present? Thanks again.

What about driving with a 4x4 car on my own until the parking spot? do you think it is easy to get stuck during the off road trail? planning a trip for the next April currently

Hi Greg, just wondering if you are using any special gear, like filters ? That shot straight into the sun with f2.8 in particular ? Thanks

@@davidabyrne3866 yes I have a set of Benro filters. It’s the Benro fh100m2 with a couple different NDs and Soft Grads.

😅Hahaha! Yeah, the weather was crazy. Lows of 16-18C at night with highs of 32-36C during the day. First few hours were the best temps for sure. It can get cold though, especially on the coast.
