The problem is that they're singing so off-key it's like they thought auto-tune was on. Why not just use auto-tune live?

+codemonkeybrains It wasn't that bad at all, especially at the end they seemed reasonably tight... But yeah, this is just what live music is often like, especially if some of those singing are also playing instruments... If the Monitor setup isn't great, and the music is loud, it can pretty hard to hear yourself too, making singing in tune even more awkward... Either way they've got all those harmonies going on too, draws more attention to when they aren't totally blending... I think the large venue also messes with the acoustics too... It'd probably sound better somewhere more closed off... Personally, I think less auto-tune is mostly better... It's less likely to be "perfect", but when it is, then you know there's something special going on... Plus you don't get that weird auto-tune sound... It's alright sometimes, but I think it gets used a bit too much these days.

I know that they were promoting (years ago) that they were going to do a little tour and.... Talking amongst my social circle..... agreed that it would be incredibly dumb and tacky if they didn't layer the actual video with their act while they did their own flair. After viewing this (because bored and not interested in much at the moment) I see that I was correct. They know, also. I think they are great entertainers on the digital realm, but because my girlfriend was in the other room cooking, I turned this down so she wouldn't be "WHAT IS THAT?" and I'd have to be forced to explain myself.
