Own this pack - been great! Dropped a couple pounds off my previous Deuter 65. Comfortable, lightweight, and side water bottle pockets are easy to access while hiking. Thought I’d miss having multiple compartments but now preferred the simplicity and efficiency of the single compartment. Get it on sale, great value!

Hi, do you think the udap no fed bear bear canister (smaller size) would fit horizontally? Thank you!

Yes it should

I just bought one. My only complaint is I wish they had loops for strapping snowshoes.

Focal vs Optic? what difference?
@BackcountryRenegade Жыл бұрын
good question, that would be a good versus series. While they are similar I like to think of the focal as a newer and updated and more comfortable version of the optic. The focal is a tad pricier, The optic is a tad lighter but The focal has a better suspension that is FreeFloat ultralight system that allows the pack to move with your body, the optic is more fixed, and basicly just a mesh. Focal also has more pockets, and thicker denier in abrasive prone areas so will be less fragile. the focal also has a Polygiene technology to reduce odor

I'm interested in getting this bag but not sure on sizing. My torso length is around 17''-18'' which according to the Gregory site puts me between a small or medium. Which size would be better to go with? Thanks

Is this pack better than the Osprey Exos?
@BackcountryRenegade6 ай бұрын
They are both very similar. Differ in minor ways but This is more comfortable imo
@thisguy72016 ай бұрын
@BackcountryRenegade yeah I noticed the thickness on the hip belts when you pointed it out. Are the pads actually longer on the gregory or are they about the same length? (Not the actual straps)

Osprey exos 48l or gregory focal is better you think?
@BackcountryRenegade Жыл бұрын
i have a review on the exos 58, which is similar just smaller. But personally i liked the Focal. it seemed more comfortable, but alittle less features then the exos

I’ve got a large Focal 58 L/XL (which is 62L). I’ve used it on two trips now, and really love it. I have found my Focal 58 super comfortable. While the Focal 58 is probably not considered Ultralight (my L/XL is 2.8 lbs.) it is much lighter (1/2 the weight) than my older Osprey Aether 60 AG.

@@BackcountryRenegadewell, I'm smaller than you, and here (Italy) I can't find the S size, but only the M and L. So, I think that pack would fit way too big for me unfortunately... Thanks for your kind reply

By cover I don’t mean the little rain flap that goes over the top, but a full cover the goes over the whole pack. Did you get one of those
