A few facts about Gregory Lemarchal: - France discovered this amazing young guy when he won Star Academy in 2005 - he was incredible and some of his perfs during this contest season are legendary. • For instance, his cover of "Sos d’un terrien en détresse" later attracted Dimash to cover the song himself . He had a very beautiful duet with one of your favorite singer: Lara Fabian, on a song composed and written by Lara “Un Ave Maria”. Lara called Gregory "An angel” - he was very sick during the contest, suffering of cystic fibrosis, which should not have allowed him theoretically to sing or to sing with such a perfect and powerful voice. He was for sure suffering a lot but never made it apparent. He was happy living his dream to be a singer. - after the contest, he became a superstar in France. His album became an immense success and his concerts were fully packed - but he died 2 years later in 2007 from the cystic fibrosis. It was a tremendous shock in France. Nobody knew he was THAT sick. - he is now nicknamed “the little prince of the french music” This song is a cover from Jean-Jacques Goldman, an immense star in France and the best songwriter on the french scene that wrote masterpieces for himself or other giants such as Celine Dion or Johnny Hallyday.
