Excellent vieeo demonstration. This is exactly what I needed to see. I love you.

Most people put the sleeping bag at the bottom because you don't need it often. Personally, I'd put the tent somewhere else since your going to need that as soon as you get where you're going. I love that bag though. Great demo.

The Gregory 30 is an outstanding pack, but the 40 is better. The overall size is nearly identical but the panel opening vs. top loading is hugely advantageous. The extra 10l swallowed all my overnight gear with enough room for extra layers, water, and food. IMO the 30 is slightly too large for a daypack and slightly too small for an overnighter (it's just so stuffed that the material/seams are stressed). If you're looking at the 30 like I was, make sure to take all your overnight pack to the shop and fit it, then decide.

The 35 l is the best- not too big and not too small

@@danduran4981 not true, 30 is perfect for one-day trips, besides, you can take it as a handheld on the plane (I know it doesn't fit but I flew so many times and no one noticed) 40 is better than 35 because the height is the same as 35 and yet it holds much more and is perfect for two or three days.

Just grabbed this pack for $40 at a used gear store today. Great find, great video.

I'm new to backpacking so I'm sure I have plenty mistakes to make. But after watching this I'm more confident about the gear I can take in my Zulu 35. Thanks.

I plan to do months out of this pack not just a couple nights at a time. 65 liter packs I've had were WAY too big and draw so much attention to your person in the city.

Hi! Thanks for your gear videos, I really appreciate them! I’m looking at the Jade 28 or 33 primarily as a daypack that I could use for some overnights or weekend trips too. I was wondering if the 33 would be overkill as a day pack but in your videos it looks like there isn’t much overall size difference between the two? Just curious what pack you thought might be make a better choice as a day trip/weekend bag?

I do not think there is much difference in size of the back panel. I have the Zulu 40 and then got the 30, but could have used the 40 with compression straps cinched down. The 33 would be better for overnights.

Hi! Is there a big difference in overall pack size between Zulu 30 and 40 if you pack them with the same stuff? I ask because I want to buy some kind of Zulu pack primarily for a day trips. I am quite confident that 30L is enough space for me but I'm thinking of getting a 35L just because of that big U-shaped zip that makes it easier to access lower part of pack.
@evacoutdoors58673 жыл бұрын
No not much difference really.

@@danduran4981 yes, I actually bought the 35L one because of reasons stated in my OP. I confirm that this was a good choice. My wife have the 28L version and it's also great. However two ways of access to my 35L makes life easier sometimes.
