Decent review. Small businesses need solid food quality to stand out-flavor, seasoning, and proper prep make all the difference. Fixing these basics could help them attract more customers.
@Memestrikeslad11 сағат бұрын
A lot of small businesses these days just think existing is enough. Doesn’t seem to be any pride in small businesses anymore. Good food, good prep, great service, tables that don’t wobble and a smile goes a long way but they don’t seem to understand that at all.
@JohnDoe-yq9rt10 сағат бұрын
@@Memestrikeslad So true, appropriate pricing is another thing, when you break down how much something costs at a shop compared to how much it would cost if you made it yourself and realise you're being ripped off, you wonder how they chose the price
@Memestrikeslad10 сағат бұрын
@@JohnDoe-yq9rt the price is appropriate considering the convenience and the fact that they have overheads, employee costs and marketing costs. I would say what it costs in ingredients it should be doubled to cover other expenses. $10 for a burger even know it sounds like a high price is most likely on point for what they’d need to charge for a profit. These businesses still need to make money. Another big issue is businesses like this not taking the majority of their consumers criticism. The amount of times iv mentioned to a stores owner that everything was beautiful but one part could be improved it always seems like they’re offended. But at the end of the day it’s their loss and if they go broke doing dumb shit that’s their problem. Maybe there will be a big change eventually. Or all the small businesses these days will just continue to blame the main fast food stores for their failure. Many of the restaurants and decent food outlets I visit are in places no one would ever willingly look yet they are always busy. Location is a contributing factor but good marketing and good food and service as I mentioned in my last comment helps which you unfortunately don’t see anymore and it’s pathetic.

Fish and chips , hamburger shops are now too complicated. We had a fish and chip business back in th 70's, 80's Melbourne. Small menu with everything being fresh. Now you enter a shop and menu is overwhelming. They sell everything, and most of it's processed ,stale and frozen plus hygiene has gone out the window. Thanks mate again for your fairdinkum review .👍🤗😁🍻

Yes, I have a local F&C has 15+ other non F&C items has been done for at least, 2 x (recent) hygiene breaches. As you wisely suggest, small menu where items will turn-over fast. Why I also like, open 24hr foodies, continuous items moved, lessens the issue of over-kept & stale goods.

The media needs to be much more honest about how they report government debt. Most home buyers for example know they are getting into debt when they buy a house - indeed they are getting into more debt than they likely ever will in their entire life. But these people know that having their own home is worth going into debt. They will be paying it off as they use it. The same situation occurs with Victoria’s “debt”. Victoria’s roads, schools and hospitals will be used while the debt is paid off. Those schools, roads and hospitals (and other infrastructure) also add to Victoria’s economic potential and improve the lives of Victorians. Don't be so ignorant in future and regurgitate nonsense

I'll be there on this day and this time and help you out for a fair go!" -Grego spends his own petrol to get there, drives through pouring rain, then he goes in and the guy who owns it doesn't even make his burger! It's some dorb who doesn't even wear the required gloves when he makes the burger. The tomatoes and lettuce linger on the bogan's hairy fingers. Grego tries not to gag. These burgers are supposed to be grilled, but this bloke just pulls out a burger and some bacon from somewhere and slams it on the breeoochiii bun. WTF? -Then everyone smiles as poor ol' Grego runs back to his car in the pouring rain and then he unwraps this burger. Grego thinks, "Crikey! What have I got myself into? I just wanted to help out a local business! Should I lie and pretend this is delicious? NO! I AM GREG'S KITCHEN! I MADE THIS I.P.! I WILL TELL THE TRUTH!" -Haters gonna hate, but Grego is for real.
