The main reason I stopped playing GTNH is it promotes AFK for resources. Not a fan of that. Other than that its a pretty fun experience, I just don't appreciate that the primary blocker for the most part is the amount of time the server runs for. If there were options to balance it for single player worlds where servers stop running when you shutdown vs always online servers it would really awesome (just my opinion). Side note, I also hate magic mods with a burning passion so having those as a more or less "required" part of progression is a huge turn-off for me. Lookin at you in particular thaumcraft.

The amount of time it takes to craft things is just ridiculous. It’s a time sink for the sake of being a time sink. Complex crafts should take longer but not to the extent it’s currently at.

To be fair thaumcraft is fully automatable via AE in this pack, three just didn’t do it. Also there isn’t a NEED to afk until Wayyyyyy later in the pack than three is, but of course it’s always an option to afk vs upgrading infrastructure in a mega pack like this.

i know that after this you will probably be looking for a new pack. well, i remembered about one i saw called "star technologies", which is a skyblock gregtech pack... or you could do ATM 9... another gregtech skyblock pack... man, i hate it that i dont have a non greg suggestion... oh, well. edit: both are skyblock greg, AND create, funnily enough.

man I'm very close to star forge and the greg star and honestly this was more fun than monifactory for me, atm9 greg is great.

There is an ATM9 skyblock that just released today. The base version is not a skybloock. It’s also not a Gregtech pack. It’s a completely separate progression. You don’t have to touch it all if you don’t want to.
