Gorgeous! It would be great if you would include the dimensions of the main body of the ponds in the description so we have a better understanding....I'm personally interested in knowing the w/l/depth and the difference between the dugout dimensions vs. the interior dimensions once the rocks are in to better grasp how much room there is to swim, or for fish if it's not a recreation pond.

Platies and Swordtails are a great choice for a pond like this as they'll reproduce readily and help keep algae at bay. In aquariums, they are known to be great algae eaters. What waste they do produce will just get sucked up by the plants.

How very wonderful to hear ( I think you said) to have the plant... Banksia. Way way way way back, (I'm in the US) my family is related to Brit, Joseph Banks - a naturist 1768-1771 (along w Cptn Cook and Daniel Solander) Joe Banks mapped out much of the Australian Coast for ship maps. He and Daniel discovered and named this genus Banksia in 1770. 🤔 Hmmm 6' degrees of separation, kind of thing. Your pond/pool is absolutely amazing. I want one.
