When the narrator said "don't suck on compressed air" at the end it reminded me of a myth I always heard while working with cars. They said that you shouldn't ever put the gun against your skin because it can force air into your body and cause an embolism. I'm still not sure if I should believe that or not but either way I'd love to know! Also there's a really cool trick you can do with them where you make a screwdriver float in the air stream and you can have it at like a 45% angle away from the screwdriver and still make it levitate it looks really cool and it's pretty satisfying to do aswell lol

I think part of it was to realistically test with stuff you could have a chance of having near by. Some water in a bucket or something isn't too crazy, or even a fridge, but nobody is going to have a bucket full of ketchup or oobleck to conveniently toss the nade into. Tho I do wish they did the thing where they keep testing to see what is most effective and that could be one of em

The Grenade tests reminded me of a Simpsons episode where Grandpa Simpson has a WW2-flashback and when a grenade lands in between his men he puts his steel-helmet above it and then puts himself on top of that. The grenade explodes, sending him in the air but otherwise he is fine. Would have made a nice addition.

One thing not taken into account is the person jumping on a grenade would literally turn into flying shrapnel. I heard stories of men thinking they had a bone sticking out of their leg or arm but when tended to they found out it was someone else bone that stuck into another person from an explosion.

Instead of jumping on a grenade, it makes mor sense to alert everyone on the granade and jump flat to the ground in the beat case with your feet pointing to the granade. Most energy frome the granade gets kinde reflected by the ground causing the energy going upwards in a cone form. Therefore the closer to those the ground you are less likely it is to have a shrapnel to travel in your direction.

It has practically no impact on shrapnel from the grenade, which are cause of injury and death, bones yes but they are small percentage of the upper body. Ballistics gel offers more resistance on average as it is a uniform mass, but the difference is minimal.

The whole show makes a complete mockery of the word "Science". I'd be fine with the show if they stopped calling what they do science and might even enjoy the entertainment. It's as far away from experimental science as you can almost get and I blame shows like this for making people dumber. They didn't do the Mentos experiment properly - Not that anyone should be surprised. Put the Mentos in first, and then pour the soda - THAT'S how the man did in the video. "We did it the same same the video!" No, no, you obviously did not. Pig stomach is also larger than a human stomach and pouring down a tube is not the same action as swallowing. And even if you don't have a rupture, you're going to need medical assistance with a balloon that large in your abdominal cavity. It's going to be pressing on your organs, including your lungs and heart. You will be in immense pain, unable to breathe properly. Fk this show.
