My position during this video was pre-arranged with the band leaders. However I think maybe not all members were aware of the arrangement but all worked out well. I had been trying to do this for a couple of years. My shop is on the left, called The British Grenadier Bookshop. Some of the band members came into the shop earlier in the day and that’s when I proposed the idea with them and they were cool with that.

Imagine having a really long sleep after an evening on the booze, waking up. Thinking I'll pop down to the bakery and grab something to eat, then getting confronted with the band of the Grenadier Guards coming towards you, "how much did I drink last night?????".

Fabulous....as a former army bandsman, I still ( 30 years later) can’t walk to music unless I’m in step.

I remember some FA cup finals when the guards bands would play at half time , the players would occasionally do that , bloody hooligans @@

I remember visiting Windsor castle with my Mum when I was young...probably 6 or 7. The Guards marched through and Mum (concerned) told me to move out of their way. I asked why, and she said they would probably march straight over the top of you. I remember being slightly frightened but it’s still a glorious memory 50 years or more on. Was lucky enough to be part of a tattoo years later and meet army all over the world, but the Brits had it over everyone...faultless drill and marching. Wow...goosebumps....

@@stevedouglas5727 looks like the Drum major went to the carry from the state walk so he would not knock your camera as well.

March is called “Carry On” by Herbert Wilson. His one hit wonder March he composed and it’s one of the most popular British marches ever written!

A much more appropriate venue for a British military band. Much more appropriate than London Pride 2022.

They will need a work permit now. I’ll report them if they don’t.
