Greninja Ex Deck Profile + Explanation

Thanks for the deck list, I really see a lot of potential in this deck, although I also think the new boomerang energy from the same set can benefit the deck if you don't want to discard a lot of energy.

Been trying out a similar deck with Luxray (swelling flash version) and BM Ursaluna. The deck plays a bit slower, opting to fall behind so I can use hand disruption cards, counter catcher, defiance band and reversal energy. It works pretty well, and I think all Greninja needs is a good secondary attacker to shine.

I feel like most dragapult list doesn’t really run that much rare candy. They always have the 2nd evolution to use the drawing ability

i love the deck but just one thing there is a alolan vulpix card from sun and moon that alows you to get any two pokemon from your deck for no energy so you could switch it with that pidgey

Standard format is from Brilliant Stars to current set (stellar crown) so unfortunately you can’t use Sun and Moon cards

hello guys! just want to ask for advice/s about the greninja ex deck I've been building up. (1) is eevee with a call for family ability a good substitution for pidgeot ex and pidgey? (2) what is a good subtitute for manaphy and radiant tsareena? (3) is there any subtitute for the double turbo energy?

@@fredociones4660 hello there, 1) unfortunately no since pidgeot ex is the main reason why u wanna run pidgey. Since pidgeot ex lets u search for one card from your deck once per turn which is super broken. If you don’t have pidgeot ex maybe try the froslass build instead (I have a guide for that version too) 2) honestly you don’t need the radiant tsareena at all I thought it was good at the time of making this video. No other good substitution for manaphy. Maybe rabsca from temporal forces if you have that but that is a stage 1 pokemon so takes another turn to set up. 3) there is no substitution for double turbo sadly :( it’s the only special energy right now that provides two colorless energy. I hope that helps!

@@fredociones4660 1) for lumineon no, rotom v you can try to run cleffa if you want. The one that has an attack that lets u draw until you have 7 cards with no energy cost 2) eevee is alright. I think in the future eeveelution set there will be some eeveelution that will be meta relevant so it will be good in those deck then 3) sadly no as well :( 4) noctowl is extremely good so I would say it could help replace it. But not completely if that make sense!

Not necessarily because you have to attach all the energy by hand (theres no exceleration) so its to slow to set up compared to DTE and a single attachment

I think right now greninja isn’t looking good in the meta sadly. Maybe in the future the deck will get more support

Try it with froslass, That is the version i am excited to build. Putting damage on pokemon every turn stacks up quick

@@royalillest I felt the same, but I got to try it out on prerelease and with 2-3 of them and using hyper aroma to guarantee it. It weakens ex Pokemon but also takes out engines dpults second evo/Bibs and the like

DTE debuff would still apply. Because the attack resolved first before discarding. Pokémon TCG live is wrong

Why dont you use boomerang energy from teilight masquerade as the second attack from greninja ex discards 2 colorless enegies but the boomerang energy prevents you from doing that

It’s not needed because you mainly use the first attack. Manaphy is in every deck so u will rarely use the second attack
