Yes. You did say a decade. Obviously it’s your channel and you can do as you please but it’s also my choice not to watch it. No love lost either way. Especially when it’s my choice to watch reactions of people who truly do not know one thing and say it or people who educate themselves and give educated information; rather than listening to misstatements.

I just found these guys a week ago and I am blown away. I've listened to everything I could find, watched every interview related to them, I mean I buried myself. One thing I've decided , at least my opinion, is that this band is actually better live. I've never before said that about any band, ever, in my life. I'm 63. Flower Power, live at Red Rocks, is underappreciated. I love these guys.

@@juliemanarin4127 they were a mixed bag, depending on how messed up they were. I saw them the first time in 1970, they were raw and unique. A bit high for sure. Later performances ranged from great to f'd up. GVF will likely be just as accomplished ad they mature into their music. I love them both!

I just recorded a couple of more GVF reactions, and its the same thing. They just keep impressing me. And it's not just Josh's vocals. The whole band feels like they are completely out of time. Even if they do get inspiration from some amazing bands from the past, its still so unique, because there is nobody out there making music like this. Like, I reacted to broken bells, and there was a guitar solo, and it hit me realllllly hard that I don't remember the last new song that I heard that had a really great guitar solo.

It's crazy how their live performancs are somehow better than their recordings. Sam's baselines are magic, Josh's vocals are astonishing and Jake is a rock god in the making. They released the new album, but couldn't tour due to the pandemic, so all of these live performances have been a godsend. They have a dedicated fan base called The Peaceful Army, the more you learn about these guys, the more you love 'em. Subscribed. Keep listening to GVF!

Theres a few groups like that, that just perform better out of studio. Sometimes studios put too much work in to polishing a song with a studio sound. Raw is often better when you have musicians that really know what they are doing.

I think one of the strengths of GVF that is rarely discussed is how they have very little in the way of weaknesses. The band was formed in 2012 IIRC when they were around 12 to 14. As such, they are really tight. Each member is skilled at their position. The compositions and arrangements produce songs that flow so very well. Whoever does their studio recording engineering, mixing, etc. seems top notch. And on the road, their audio team seem, if anything, better. Could be the same people. On top of all that, they seem like deep, compassionate souls.

I've never heard of them unil now. Very interesting and high pitched voice. You should check out Loïc Nottet who is also high pitched and his unique voice is sometimes called androgynous. But Josh's voice sounds even higher.

@DanFromHali2 жыл бұрын
Because thats how my mind works. There is nothing wrong with comparing a sound. It happens in music all the time... Hell, comparisons happen in art all the time... Be it painting techniques, writing/prose style, cinematography. Comparisons happen. It doesn't mean that I don't respect that they are their own individual artists. Why dont you just stop typing, and listen to me gush over how much I enjoy them, until the end of the video? Look. Ive never heard them before. Didn't know what to expect. And thats what happens. Its how my mind processes things. And thats what reaction videos are about. Its about a person, speaking out what their mind is processing. Don't like it, take a hike. Next.

That is not an organ. That is a Hammond B3 with a Leslie speaker. The keyboard power of many rock performers of the 1960's and 1970's. Thus far in my experience if a performance includes a Hammond/Leslie combination I will love it.
@DanFromHali Жыл бұрын
The Hammond B3 IS an organ. It's an electric organ, but still an organ. Laurens Hammond is very famously an organ manufacturer and the B3 electric organ was actually developed to replace costly pipe organs in churches.
@nateo2131 Жыл бұрын
@@DanFromHali I am well aware of what a B3 is. I was commending the creativity/ability of a B3 with a Leslie speaker. My comment was more in the context of this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jYjPaXiYg7NrhK8 I have yet to hear any genre of music that I did not like when there has been a keyboard player who knows how to light up Hammond/Leslie combination. Old technology, yet such a standard.

Have you ever listened to a lecture, no recorder, no notes, and have to wait until the end of the lecture to ask questions? A lot of people have a hard time remembering things. The reason this happens is two fold, and one of them is purely selfish. 1) Copyright claims are easier to avoid this way. 2) I want my thoughts to be fully formulated and I don't want to forget some things that I picked up, by continuing on and maybe getting excited by something else instead. Most - not all - people who watch reaction videos have already heard the song before, and seen the video. From a viewers standpoint, I understand why this might be annoying. I used to hate it as a viewer myself. But KZbin's terms for fair use state that we cannot use copyright materials in a way that is meant to replicate the material as a secondary means of consuming the material. This is a reaction video. It's about the reaction itself. I also understand that you sometimes get frustrated because I or other reactors might pause just before there is something cool... but we don't know that. Anyway, I will never not do this. Also this might be the first time I've responded to a comment on my channel in about a year. So that's how much I care about the integrity of the reaction video genre. Pauses are necessary.
