There is a tragic beauty in that voice, so fragile and so powerful at the same time , it cuts right to the heart and makes tears flow

Bass player switched to keys mid song. He still plays the bass with foot pedals while playing keys.

That’s why he is always barefoot, so he can feel the pedals. He said playing with shoes on is like playing guitar with gloves on.

Quite common for Sam to switch back and forth from bass to keyboards during a show or a song. He uses the bass peddles on the keyboard to keep the bass lines going. Sacred The Thread is a rock masterpiece and Josh’s vocal is nothing short of astonishing. We are all waiting at Garden’s Gate for “STARCATCHER” to fall from the sky on July 21st.

There is another live cut of this song where, while wearing a custom brown jump suit, said this song is in part about his jump suits. Gotta love a band who can make a hit rock song about clothing. One of the best new bands around.

This is my favorite thus far on the upcoming album. You’re right…amazing how they get so much sound live with the 4 of them. They are freaking talented.

The "big toilets" are for pyro. The Dreams in Gold tour was amazing! They kick off the Starcatcher tour in Nashville, Tn July 24th! I can't wait. They are fantastic live! Sam, the bass player, plays bass pedals while at the keyboard. So much talent. If they come near you guys, you really need to check them out.

Mesmerizing, or as I like to say about this song, it’s transportive. It just sweeps you away.

This particular album is supposed to be recorded live as a group, not by pieces... so looking forward to that old school live sound. They have used other musicians in the studio before though, for like strings and in one of their 'live' sessions. The live concerts i have been to, it has only been them four though...some of the songs will be missing some of the effects and some filler from their studio recordings. I recommend seeing them live... they are very cool. Josh's singing is sometimes not as consistent, but still great !

I was at this show, it was an amazing performance., Sam plays both bass and keys, and very often both during a song. He has a bass pedal when he plays keys. Great Review!

your analogy is perfect, I am a crazy fan of Led Zeppelin's song remains the same album (msg live) and this band gives me the same sort of vibes when I listen to them live.

Of the first four songs they've released so far this one is by far my favorite. Can't get that melody out of my head. Josh has an incredible voice, but also quite the ear for a hooky melody. Surprised a Led Zep fan didn't mention the drum intro is the same as When the Levee Breaks. They'll never shake the comparisons if they don't stop doing this. Regardless, love them to death and will be seeing them for the 7th time in Chicago in September.

Hi guys, new sub here from Scotland. I have just watched your reactions to a couple of Ren's songs. You might not be aware that he has done a couple of duets with an female artist, Chinchilla, who is also from the UK. She has a truly remarkable voice and as an intro to her you could try one of these duets, "Chalk Outlines" or "How To Be Me". As a solo artist she is amazing, try her latest release "Little Girl Gone" or my absolute favourite, "Fingers- Live for Hunger TV". Songs by The Big Push are, "Why My Woman", "Sweet Little Lady", Bongo Bong""It's Alright". Romain Axisa(player of second 6-string guitar with The Big Push) has done tons of covers but personally I prefer his own composition, "Love Without Feelings"- he plays piano and is backed by a cello, violin and a local ladies choir-a beautiful song; Guitar solo-"75 Beats Per Minute". Some of his covers are, "Georgia On My Mind" by Ray Charles, "Knocking On Heavens Door" by Bob Dylan, "Blue Moon" by Elvis, "Bang Bang" by Nancy Sinatra.
