@@gordonshumway7756 that’s not even close to true. It’s so low in his range. That effect can be added to vocals by singers easily since he is using his chest voice and not his head voice. He just engages wind in part of his throat that he doesn’t when he sings smoothly. That growl is actually probably pretty natural for him. It’s when people can’t sing and try stuff that stuff that will hurt their voice.

But I will say that they're one of a very few number of bands (that I listen to regularly, which is in the dozens) that I can't sing along to...crazy, controlled chaos vocals with mostly indecipherable lyrics. I have been enjoying them in small doses. Also, _good music is good music_ is 100% in the ear of the be-hearer. 😊

As someone who lived through the classic rock (and prog rock) era, it’s easy to see GVF’s influences, because they wear them on their sleeves. I think people put them down because they’re so unabashedly retro. It’s like they beamed in from 1974. I happen to like that era of music, but it really makes this band an outlier in the current music scene. As for the singer’s voice, it’s an acquired taste (like Geddy Lee of Rush), but he definitely has pipes.

@@yourfriendgen4427 The fallen angels are in hell looking up because hell is underneath your feet or below you. They are not flesh and blood like us they have been judged and are fitted for destruction in their spirit (soul) body. They are looking up at you enjoying the music, that their father Satan has inspired and you love it. It makes you feel good and your flesh enjoys it. It's completely devoid of any redeeming qualities and makes you even despise the truth of the gospel of Christ, the bible, and God without you even knowing it. If only the music can keep you away from the bible and the truth of salvation through the death and burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, you will die and join them in hell. The spirit should be the thing that's touched when you listen to music and it should reveal God and all of his magnificence. In the bible, in the book of Romans chapter 10 verses 9-13 explains what you need to know and what you need to do in order to escape the domain of the fallen angels that lookup, remember you asked me, what does this even mean, now you know.

LYRICS Sorrows of the Earth May our tears of rain wash down to bathe you This is what life is worth When the fires still burn and rage all around Can you hear that dreadful sound? Fire still burning on the ground Follow the fearsome sound As they march to battle, hear the drums pound We do not fight for war But to save the lives of those who do so Can you hear that dreadful sound? Fire still burning on the ground Can you feel my love? Rising with the heat above Life's the story of Ascending to the stars as one Marching across the land Is a peaceful army joining the band Walking hand in hand To an anthem loudly sung where they stand Can you hear that dreadful sound? When music brings tears to your eyes. I put off giving these guys a chance when they first came out because I was an idiot and followed the "they're trying to be led zeppelin" crowd. My friend sent me a video of them live at the red rocks and that was all it took for me to be blown away. Ive since spent the past week listening to their albums religiously, noticing how much they have improved as a band in such a short amount of time. Each song has a unique way of connecting itself to you. Their newest album is an absolute masterpiece. Each band member is incredibly talented in their own way, and it's such a beautiful thing that these guys are connected by brotherhood. This band is exactly what we need, hopefully they can inspire others to get creative and bring back what music used to be when we could all feel connection through song. This shit is straight from the soul. Can't wait to see what these guys produce in the next few years because this is just the beginning of GVF.

No one needs to bring back “what music used to be”. That’s never been how this works. When Zep arrived they were absolutely nothing like what came before them. When these guys learn to understand that, they’ll shake the very warranted criticisms of being derivative. If I want to hear something that sounds like the 70’s, why wouldn’t I just listen to music from the 70’s?

Great job Babe !!! 🤗❤️💕 I know what it’s like to be addicted. It’s hard to escape the cycle, waiting for life to become happy again and then you’ll finally quit. I’ve come to realize that you only really quit if you decide to take charge of your life and body and flaws. Not waiting for external circumstances to quit. I’m still addicted though but I hope someday I can stop! Currently my cat went missing the day I was going to take him to the vet. The timing and tragedy of it all has sent me into a spiral in some way. It’s hard to quit when life is always so bad around you. It seems like the only thing that can make me calm down is substances to mellow out my own pain. So I can just enjoy life as a normal person. But times when Ive quit I tend to have emotional outbursts and ruminating thinking about all of the bad things in my life. It’s hard to work while dealing with a lot of things in your own life. So I just find my own ways to deal with it I suppose. I hope someday I can be clean again. Like when I was a child and was always sober. Life was so beautiful, and I had no desire for any corrupt substances.. Oh, the old days.

Most music these days all sounds the same and most of it isn't even original it's got elements taken from someone else's stuff . Stuff like this has that old feel to it that makes it seem familiar but it's original and and doesn't sound like everybody else's mumbo-jumbo crap . Not many artists are actually trying to bring that sound back which makes this a breath of fresh air compared to the rest.
