As someone who lived through the classic rock (and prog rock) era, it’s easy to see GVF’s influences, because they wear them on their sleeves. I think people put them down because they’re so unabashedly retro. It’s like they beamed in from 1974. I happen to like that era of music, but it really makes this band an outlier in the current music scene. As for the singer’s voice, it’s an acquired taste (like Geddy Lee of Rush), but he definitely has pipes.

It's completely devoid of any redeeming qualities and makes you even despise the truth of the gospel of Christ, the bible, and God without you even knowing it. If only the music can keep you away from the bible and the truth of salvation through the death and burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, you will die and join them in hell. When music brings tears to your eyes. I put off giving these guys a chance when they first came out because I was an idiot and followed the "they're trying to be led zeppelin" crowd. My friend sent me a video of them live at the red rocks and that was all it took for me to be blown away. Ive since spent the past week listening to their albums religiously, noticing how much they have improved as a band in such a short amount of time. Each song has a unique way of connecting itself to you. Their newest album is an absolute masterpiece. Each band member is incredibly talented in their own way, and it's such a beautiful thing that these guys are connected by brotherhood. This band is exactly what we need, hopefully they can inspire others to get creative and bring back what music used to be when we could all feel connection through song. This shit is straight from the soul. Can't wait to see what these guys produce in the next few years because this is just the beginning of GVF.

I’ve come to realize that you only really quit if you decide to take charge of your life and body and flaws. Not waiting for external circumstances to quit. I’m still addicted though but I hope someday I can stop! Currently my cat went missing the day I was going to take him to the vet. The timing and tragedy of it all has sent me into a spiral in some way. It’s hard to quit when life is always so bad around you. It seems like the only thing that can make me calm down is substances to mellow out my own pain. So I can just enjoy life as a normal person. But times when Ive quit I tend to have emotional outbursts and ruminating thinking about all of the bad things in my life. It’s hard to work while dealing with a lot of things in your own life. So I just find my own ways to deal with it I suppose. I hope someday I can be clean again. Like when I was a child and was always sober. Life was so beautiful, and I had no desire for any corrupt substances.. Oh, the old days.

I don't care if they are compared to Led Zeppelin this band are amazing. So many great songs and this is by far my favourite.

These guys definitely bring back that 70s and 80s sound that current day music is missing.

Idk I feel like there’s too much people trying to bring the 80s and 70s back. As much as I love the soundscape of those decades I also want to see music progress more.

@@frankie2276 I totally agree, especially in the rock genre but as far as I know it’s all under the radar for the most popular music.

Most music these days all sounds the same and most of it isn't even original it's got elements taken from someone else's stuff . Stuff like this has that old feel to it that makes it seem familiar but it's original and and doesn't sound like everybody else's mumbo-jumbo crap . Not many artists are actually trying to bring that sound back which makes this a breath of fresh air compared to the rest.

I am 42 and grew up listening to Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Iron Maiden, Def Leppard and other legendary rock bands. Had given up my hopes that there will be any other band which will make that kind of music again. Few years back, a friend of mine made me listen to Greta Van Fleet and I was blown away. Keep rocking GVF. Love from India 🇮🇳
