People always call me goth but I'm just a witchy bohemian, obsessed with the 1970s, who loves Metal (specifically Doom) & Country. You should see people's faces when they find out I'm listening to Dwight Yoakam, not Bauhaus. *I do enjoy goth rock, but it's not high on my list. I listen to 60s stuff like Herman's Hermits more often 😂. I do love cemeteries, grey weather, anything Victorian, Gothic Literature, Romantic Poetry, Horror, Halloween, & making crafts that tend to be death-themed. And dress in nearly strictly all-black, so I guess that's why they assume. No black lipstick for me though! Oh and I've got a cowgirl tattoo, and Texas and horseshoe tattoos, which should clue people in, but they don't seem to notice that. I mean my limbs are usually draped in black clothing (and I don't mean jeans & t-shirts, but velvet & lace), so I suppose they wouldn't. I'm a strange one, aren't I?

Still listening in 2023! My mom died last month and its been really hard for me to listen to songs that remind me of her. She loved this song even though she was a born and raised NYer. She moved down south in the late 70s or early 80s and took up some southern habbits, such as keeping our Christmas lights on our porch year round. So this song just tickled her, she thought it was funny and badass all wrapped into one. I listened to this song today for the first time in a while and it actually made me happy - no tears, just laughs and smiles. I'll always love this song and remember how much she loved it too.

That's impressive as hell. My grandpa ended up having to quit in his 50s, to get bypass. He made it to his 80s. But she didn't have to quit until she was IN HER 80S. This brings back so many memories for me. I remember being obsessed with this song and basically this whole CD of hers in the early to mid 2000's when I was a teen. Like 2004-2006 or something like that when this first came out. I remember all the girls at school were nuts about this song and just her in general. I remember listening to the radio on U.S. 101, (the name of the radio station here in the Chattanooga, Hixson, Soddy-Daisy, and Cleveland area here in Tennessee) and it was like it was an instant hit. She was so big there for a while. Awesome song! I love all the songs that was on this CD of hers..
