The best video on youtube for this guitar! Very thorough and explains ALL of the controls followed by demonstrating the sounds produced. I own this guitar in white (Neil Young you know) and just love it. If anyone thinks a Gretsch can't rock watch this video and remember that the Who's Next album is Pete Townshend on a Gretsch. Well done and thanks so much for posting this.

Nicely done! I am a big fan of the 5420t and have one in Aspen Green. It’s such a wonderful instrument for varied styles of music and a great step into electric guitar from acoustic.

The newer G5420T guitars are made in China. If you look around for an older model, you can get one that was made in Korea. Most of the Korean made guitars were built in the Samick factory and are really high quality. They were getting too expensive to produce there, so they moved production to China.

Some information that I would have found useful: Is the bridge pinned? How is the output compared to a Strat or PAF? What is the upper frets (17-22) access like? How stable is the tuning with the Bigsby? How does the hum cancelling compare to a humbucker?
@The_Guitarshop3 жыл бұрын
Hi Francis, if you mean the bridge is on the body/wood with bridge pins? Then yes. The output is a medium output, and sits in the PAF range, but it's more transparant and breaks up a little less. Acces is very nice because of the cutaway, like I said in the video, a lot more playable than I thought myself! Bigsby is quite stable, of course when used extensively I would recommend to tune after a song. There is of course some hum, but nowhere near a single coil! Hope that helps
