I have a 60's era round badge 4x14 progressive snare. I have replaced the vintage micro-sensitive throw with the new version- with the button on top of the throw arm. The problem I have is that the snares will not fully disengage when in the off position. Now this was the reason I changed the original throw. What is needed to fix this problem? Is the throw in the wrong position on the shell- too high- too low? Any help would be great! Tommy

Hi Tommy. First off, are you talking about the problem with the repro mechanism? I have no experience with them but it sounds like the throw is not fully disengaging. Do you have the old original throw still? You may want to go backwards and repair that one. On the original one, is that round ring separated from the shell housing? If so, that could have been to some extent why it would not disengage? Bruce

So, I went back and rebuilt the original throw off. I then replaced it onto the drum and with some fine tuning, everything now works correctly. Thank you!!@@vintagedrumrestorationgara91
