I've debated getting some grettirs for a decade. I ended up opting for some titanium Tristans though.

I've been debating getting something in titanium. To keep min maxing my build. Do you know what thickness you got?

@BachataKnight 1.2mm, I don't feel anything in them. I do still wear my steel ones for great sword most of the time, but that's just to keep my titanium ones looking good haha

I just had Grettir re-glove my Grettir’s after a decade of use. Best investment I’ve ever made for stick fighting.

@bdebdmm he was telling me :) was telling me about the difference in rivets between yours and mine 😆

What do they run? I was thinking of learning a two hand weapon this year. Hella cool they are in Pittsburgh too.

Last I checked, a pair of Grettir gauntlets run $1k.

I can't say anything is impossible, but I've never had anything on them break and I've never had anything (in my hands) broken (and I've taken some incredibly hard polearm hits to the hands). When i pick them up in a couple weeks, maybe I can see if Grettir would want to do a show and tell video so we can see his thoughts on his design and point out the details of them (like enclosed thumb and articulation). Probably the best ironic part that i live in Pittsburgh and can just drive over there lol

@@BachataKnight That's a lot of money, but easily in the range of what a broken hand could cost. They look so flexible, as well as being tough.

@@BachataKnight oh, and I would be super into a video like that! I ended up being in the tent with Ice Falcon while he talked at length with a protege of our Tribe's armorer. It was cool to hear some of the trade offs designs had.
