Gretzky: Gordie one of those guys that transcended life

Wayne Gretzky grew up idolizing him. He selected his jersey no. 99 in his honour. And later on they became good friends even as he broke most of his scoring records. The Great One joins Hockey Central to remember Mr. Hockey Gordie Howe.

It's great to hear these memories and stories of Gordie Howe. It's also nice to hear someone of Gretzky's stature so openly and genuinely profess his own admiration for Mr. Howe - and to see that the personality attributes he found so impressive have made their way into his own demeanor, too.
