You can certainly use Grey card for setting custom WB. It can be included in one of your test shots and used as a reference if Grey in the image correction also. 👍 There is no connection between light meter and WB 😕.

You can use any mode...Auto can also be used for shooting the grey card

Thanks for watching the video and the comments. For example, if the scene is one stop brighter than the Grey card then you need to over expose by one stop. This you will know by practice. If it is a mirrorless camera you can see the real time view as you apply the exposure compensation. 😉

Sir, i find that you are changing only the aperture value and why not shutter speed for correct exposure ?? I suppose you have set the camera in aperture priority ? Is the same grey card exposure technique useful in manual mode, because i use only manual and shoot at RAW in all photographic conditions!!!!!
