When I stopped playing at the end of like 7th, I had a bunch of DKs. I would glue everything and the local shop that had tournaments would give bonus points towards the secondary prizes for WYSIWYG and paint jobs so I had them set up in the configurations that I used the most. Sold everything and moved on. When I started getting back into the game in 9th I picked up 3 combat patrols, some characters, and a land raider. When I heard about the 5 DK list I started looking for 2nd hand DKs. Holy crap people, y’all have fully glued poorly painted DKs with broken swords for sale at MSRP. You’re crushing it dirtbag, not complaining that my favorite army since 2006 is getting some love, but the metaflation is hitting hard haha.

12:00 why would you mist of deimos + rapid ingress when you can do, for free, moving 6inches instead of teleport (when using mist of deimos you can teleport or move 6inches)? you are still far from a charge and you save 1CP

You can do that, but usually it's not far enough, so it's just an option. Plus it lets you teleport across the board.

So you think of them more as a shooting platform than a combat platform but can do both if needed. Got it. If they’re being buffed to hit on 2’s and you want to stay away, then why not take the Gatling psilencer as well? Is it because of the AP0?

These things are far too cheap right now, strong guns and melee, 4++ invul, relatively tough, deep strike and the ability to be moved around by teleport assault.

They are good only because of that buff to their one gun. Other than that they have always been like this. They are t8 so most stuff wounds on 3, and why they are deadly is bc you can fit 4-6 of them in a list.

@@40kDirtbags no doubt, the movement rules also really benefit them.. my chaos vindicator tank is 190 points with one strong gun, slower and less wounds no invul and 5 points more. Suffice to say, I don’t understand how GW determines unit point costs to abilities

@@petemalysewich6845 2+ save, t11. Blast with d6 DMG. Combine with a chaos mark to auto wound, or explode on 5s with full re rolls from Abby.... Yes points seem right lol. And gks have no buffs or rerolls.
