The way he stands and looks down at her while he rips her heart into bits is perfect imagery considering what he did. He cheated to hurt her, and humble her and make himself feel better about her constantly breaking him down by rejecting motherhood and denying him fatherhood. In a lot of ways, Cristina was too big for him and his ego. So he needed to cut her down at the knees.

That's so true. I had experienced it before too. I always end up fighting with my bf with no reason at all because of my gut feeling that I can't point out. And i keep on getting jealous with his girl friends at first. Then we broke up because he cheated on me with another girl not with his girl friends then again we got back together because i was stupid and in love. A year after I've known that he kissed one of his girl friends that time when i was so jealous, it turned out I was right all along. That's because of my gut feeling, i don't have evidences of the cheating that time , nothing but then one of my bf's friend slipped. But I always had this uncomfortable feeling that something is not right. So you have to trust your instincts girls but not be too impulsive on what to do, just think it through first, cause heartaches can be unbearable sometimes.

Teddy has a history of continuously being a home wrecker while Owen continued to grow as a character and get help. Owen doesn’t deserve this, but Teddy does.

I think people regret it’s not easy for her to leave him. She went through the TOUGHEST part of her life with him, her PTSD and her abortion and everything else that came her way. Owen stayed with her and helped her, that’s why she decided to forgive him. She even said to Mer in a future episode that “she could have easily made a mistake like that” and she wouldn’t have wanted Owen to leave her because of that. I hate Owen but I understand that Christina loves him so much to the point it’s toxic. Burke didn’t nearly hurt her as much as Owen did. :/

I just returned to this because he acts as if he were always perfect, thanks to amelia for telling him off. Like, Owen didn't officially break up with Beth and started dating Christina(leaving Beth struggling, not knowing he's safe and no longer in the front line), he cheated on christina and was about to manage her body when she got pregnant(thank god and mer he didn't succeed), still remember how he encouraged George to go to army(which never happened but still), he cheated on amelia and also pressured her about the baby after her having changed her mind about it, then his teddy-amelia-don't know where to go, him telling amelia she can't love and be loved, making her refuse from Leo as a mom(only an "aunt"). He was never anything near to perfect. Sorry for my English.

Burke left her at the alter because deep down he knew it wasn't what Cristina wanted. He loved her so much he didn't marry her and she loved him so much that she was actually going to. Not saying he is a better guy, but that is what really happened. A beautiful selfless love story. She is experiencing it again with Owen, but they are living in denial and pain, because they love each other so much. Both stories are sad, yet equally realistic to people in real life. As for the jeopardizing of her career goes, it was a bad thing to do. But they are portraying people, and no one is perfect especially in moments of fear,humiliation, and failure at the one thing they are scared to lose. Burke was a doctor and he was scared to lose it all, but yes it was bad for him to involve Cristina. I watch shows and view them from every angle it is meant to express. You get to see all sides of the characters, good and bad. I am so glad I am able to do that, I get to know what really goes on. Not just the pieces I want to know.

I’ve never been cheated on (that I know of anyway) but even though ultimately I feel I’d end up leaving the relationship…to be truly in love…you don’t just walk away without hesitation. Not when you are truly in love. We excuse a lot of behaviors from people that someone else might find inexcusable. Somehow cheating, has been deemed the worse thing you can do in a relationship, but I think there are far worse things that can be hurtful. Sex is accompanied by feelings, impulses. It’s in our nature to want and desire, so it’s not shocking some people cheat. It’s the other things …I find more hurtful , a sexual act, although is betrayal, is not the worse . Either way I don’t think I could ever stay with someone who cheated On me, we’d end up miserable because I’d no longer trust him. No trust no relationship

I agree. I don't think cheating is the worst someone can do. There are other things that can be more damaging. But cheating is an immediate trust breaker, and I don't know how I could overcome not trusting a partner. I don't know if I would stay or leave in such situation, I might have a hard time leaving if I really love someone, but I do know that the relationship would be damaged beyond repair due to the lack of trust. I won't be the same nor I will look at them the same. The admiration will disappear and the love will slowly start to dissipate.

in a way, burke AND hunt didn't love her for who she was. burke didnt accept her for who she was because she really didnt want to get married, she was doing it to placate burke. hunt TRULY didnt love her for who she was because she didnt want to be a mother and instead of being upfront about it, he cheated with someone ese to hurt her! the only person/thing that stayed with cristina until the end was teddy, and by extension cardiothoracic surgery. cristina was never meant to be a bride or a mother - she was meant to be an excellent surgeon and she ended up becoming that! in her own way, she recognized who she was and carried it out.

Absolutely Owen shouldn't have cheated. He shouldve just divorced Christina because the marriage wasn't gonna get better. The problem with that is he still loves Christina. Everybody here is completely blaming Owen saying he was wrong and he shouldnt have cheated and he's the bad guy here. Let's take a moment and remember Christina actions throughout their relationship. She was willing to just let Teddy have Owen in exchange for Teddy being her cardio teacher because at the end of the day all Christina wanted in life was to be a surgeon. She didn't want to be a traditional wife not a mother just a surgeon. She told Owen in the beginning that she loved him but didn't want to because she knew what that would do to herself which would change who she is. Love was a distraction. All the other woman doctors had both love and family and their careers but Christina was willing to choose between the two and she chose her gift her career as a surgeon. Owen cheated not because she got the abortion, he cheated because how she chose to handle his feelings about it. When she told him that she was pregnant she practically blamed him like why the hell did you get me pregnant knowing I don't want kids? She shouldve gotten on birth control or had her tubes ties because having sex without a condom and birth control being a doctor she shouldve known this was going to happen? She basically said screw you and your feelings Im not having this baby so you need to deal with it and that made him cheat on her. Christina is upset that he cheated on her but here's my thing what did she expect? She didn't plan to stay married to Owen and didn't want his children so at some point the marriage wasn't going to last. As you see her first opportunity she left for Montana came back and then left again for the next big opportunity. Unlike Meredith she was planning to move on after her residency. The bottom line is they shouldn't have never gotten married.

Telling Amelia she ' can't be loved '. I know he has a history of cheating. But then there is our infamous Adison who has cheated on so many people and yet is loved by everyone. He said hurtful things to Amelia but so did she. Good things done by Owen 1. A good friend to Derek, Cristina, Meredith, Jo, Amelia, Torres, Arizona, Jackson, Delluca, Altman, Sloan and many others 2. A good mentor to April and George 3. An accepting boss to give Izzie a good comeback after the cancer recovery 4. A chief who supported the hospital through a massive lawsuit, and then a big storm 5. A doctor who wants to help his fellow army men in fight the disease they caught in battlefield. 6. A father who adopted a 6 month old baby and is being a good father to him. (One that doesn't even make him suffer under gender stereotypes) 7. A stranger who helped a drug addict (Betty) get help. I think Owen Hunt can be forgiven. I don't know about others
