Greyhound racing industry says ban is ‘devastating blow’, more than 1000 jobs at risk | Stuff.co.nz

The greyhound racing industry is reeling after Winston Peters made a shock announcement to ban racing in New Zealand.
The industry is worth $159 million a year to the economy and employs more than a thousand people full-time. To allow those affected to transition into new work, the ban won't come into force until August 2026.
