The acting in this scene from both Jesse and Sarah is phenomenonal 👏🏼 Its not shown here, but Jackson's face when April says 'no you weren't' is so devastating. Love these two.

I hated how she treated jackson during this time. Like that was his son too. She was so selfish she just left him

I think this is one of the most realistic portrayals of grief. People drown it in so often, so many relationships die with a dying child, it's sad but reality.

It's grief. She can't believe anyone can share her pain of losing Samuel.

Losing a child is one of the most horrible experiences one has as a "new" parent. It happened to me with my husband and it was devastating. I felt like he didn't understand my pain. And I didn't understand his way of suffering either. We had many discussions. Depression hit me hard. And we both reacted badly. At the end of it all I went to therapy and he distanced himself from me. Many months passed before we could face our pain again. And stay together. That's why I think their performance was excellent. Because it's realistic. When you have pain like that you are not thinking about the other person. You are thinking about your pain. You are selfish. It was an excellent performance 😢👏👏👏👏👏👏 Obviously we all wanted them to act perfect and empathetic but it didn't work that way.❤ They are my favorite couple

People keep playing the blame game. But the fact is that no one was wrong here. They both needed different things to grief. She needed time and space. He needed to be close to her. She wasn't wrong for her way of grieving. He wasn't wrong for want his way of grieving. What was wrong is that they both kept thinking their grief was bigger. But what was more sad is that Jackson left the marriage even though April was ready to go through thick and thin and work it out. But he didn't want to work on their marriage and left at the first problem.

I cant say this enough. This is why april is one of the most controversial characters on the show. I liked her character but she was so selfish and she didn't even care about jackson and just used him. Samuel was his son too and she didn't even bat an eye to him. He was dying inside and she left him even though he needed her...and she says he wasnt dying inside like her..how the hell does she know that.

Jackson didn't carry Samuel, he didn't feel Samuel every moment of every day since the moment he existed, Jackson didn't give up his body to grow Samuel, Jackson didn't have to go through the trauma of birthing his son knowing the result....APRIL DID ALL THAT.....a mother's grief is so much more profound than a fathers....

Sure the mother goes through slot after a baby dies, trust me, I know personally, but every seems to forget the dad. Not only do they lose their baby but also their significant other. Society has it that men have to be the strong one in these kind of situations but in reality they too are struggling and need help. Men also process loss differently. They may seem cold and callous to the situation but that's not the case at all. They need love, support and understanding too! They need to know it's okay to feel the emotions. That it's okay to cry and to feel vulnerable. This is coming from a mama who has lost 5 babies and after every loss my husband was there for me and I tried my hardest to be there for him too.

I didn't care how my baby girl's father felt after he caused me to lose her at 8 months pregnant from beating me. Then he had the nerve to get a unicorn tat in memory of her with her name on his arm

April should’ve been there for Jackson aswell. He lost his son to, and April didn’t even bat an eye towards him and just left. He was struggling too. He was grieving too. April was such a good character, but this episode made me feel like she doesn’t care anymore..

I love April and I love Jackson but in this scene April pissed me off so much because Samuel wasn't just April's son it was Jackson's son too and its not like he just forgot about it and that he was fine he was grieving and dying inside and April discounted his feelings and treated him like dirt and he was always there trying to help April but she was never there for him when he needed her and her saying that he wasn't dying inside and grieving and that she was the only one feeling that way pissed me off sooooooooo much

I'm gonna say until the day I die that nobody was wrong. The problem was that they have differents forms of dealing with the grief. She needed time and space from everything and everyone that remainds her of her son. And Jackson needed to be close to her and to do it together, but she cannot did it in his way and he cannot did it in her way. April wanted to grief in her way, to heal herself and after that deal with other people griefs and with oher things, he wanted so bad to her to grief with him that he never healed himself, he was so absorbed with his grief that when he realized that nobodoy was right or wrong it was to late, and the problem is that he hurt other people in that process, like Maggie. The sad thing for me is that neither of them really understand the other way of greiving, and at the end Jackson was so selfabsorbed with his anger that he denied him and April the opportunity to work in the marriage, he want divorce after one big problem, even when she wanted to work things out and when he really didn't want to divorce her, and when he realized that he was wrong for only blaming April it was too late.
