If you fail at launching somebody as talented as Grayson Chance with that voice, song writing, and musical ability, then you are in the wrong business. But for Ellen it wasn’t about her helping him. She was looking for a young Justin 2.0 to help her launch a record label. Charlie Puth was signed with her as well, and he too could be doing better.

Well in the music business....when.a label signs an artist the label starts pouring money into the artist , they hire promoters , stylists , music lawyers , photographers , producers , writers. Musicians , they pay airfares , hotels , meals , clothing , hairstylists , chauffeurs , private planes , ..etc etc etc ..cause you're investing in this person to make it BIG ! SO THE LABEL EXPECTS for the artist to start releasing HITS ! if an artist is not BANKABLE and doesn't release HITS ! BYE BYE ! THEY DROP THEM ..... I dont blame ELLEN.

I can't believe I'm siding with the multimillionaire, but it sounds like he's a bit self-entitled and had unrealistic expectations of what she was supposed to do for him. Honestly, it sounds like she went above and beyond what would have been reasonably expected of her, but her promoting him can't guarantee him success.
