When Jacob Dupre Playing The Piano Y'all Should Have Gotten A Shot Of Jacob's Shoes Tapping.

Oh Sweetwater, I wish I could have confidence in you again. But after having to ship a couple of guitars back and a sales engineer that cared more about new sales than helping me with mine, I have no confidence in you for my big purchases. And boy, I've spent thousands with you guys.

Every once in a blue moon we are able to see and hear a musician of this caliber the story goes this way you see a man drum this way with his heart and soul in his drumming there is so much to grasp from his drumming can't say enough about Greyson is seeing and hearing this man is most definitely the high light can't wait for more drumming like this man does thank you for inspiring so many musicians.
@jamesdennett1963 жыл бұрын
Amazing. I don't listen to jazz much, but I loved this. I'm well aware of Greyson's greatness, but Jacob's playing is fantastic. Together, they made something sublime. Big respect to everyone involved in making this happen.

Greyson Nekrutman is a young Legend in the making. If he keeps his head on straight and remembers what got him this far, musicians will be reminiscing about his unparalleled career in 50 years.
@stanislouse41682 жыл бұрын
OR ... maybe not. Freak players, and that is exactly what he is, never progress. They are at their apex for the here and now. And because of that, no matter how talented he is, he must become an ORIGINAL. only then will people aspire to follow him and put him in the league of greats.

Sweet. I could listen to you two all night. What gets me about Greyson's playing is obviously his left hand technique and, yes, speed and execution. BUT the more I watch the more I am continually amazed at his sense of timing. There's something *very* extra special about this guy. I saw Buddy live in concert twice, seen a lot of the world's greatest drummers including Vinnie Colaiuta and Neil Peart countless times. I've been a drummer 36 years in lots of bands including a Rush tribute, and this guy right here is someone I never thought I'd see in my lifetime. The new Buddy but given more time and experience who knows... maybe the greatest ever in the making. I don't play piano so don't feel qualified to comment other than I loved what you played and you look extremely talented to me. Could you guys get a double bass player and make an album like the Chick Corea acoustic band?
@stanislouse41682 жыл бұрын
He is a monster player with great facility. But what he emulates has all been done before. Is he better than Buddy? No. Why? Because HE DIDN'T"T CREATE THOSE LICKS. Buddy did. So this is nothing but a modern rehash by a very talented guy. I want to see him create something new and REVOLUTIONARY takes place. Let's see where he goes from here.

I see his left foot pushes the hi-hat stand away to where he has to pull it back. Not only here, but in other videos. I had this same issue until I got a DW hi-hat stand that had heavy-duty anchors to prevent it from walking away. Maybe he doesn't want anchors set in deep or prefers it to slide a bit. He's much better than me and going by his other videos, he has access to whatever hardware he prefers.

Came to the comments to look! I just looked it up. Madlib sampled "Nardis" performed by the Bill Evans Trio, originally written by Miles Davis. It's considered a jazz standard, which is why you'd hear that phrase in a jam session like this. Pretty cool.
