For real though. I dated a girl (yes a girl, I'm bisexual) who I had a very similar relationship with a few years back. We fought a lot, but it brought excitement that I had never experienced before. When we weren't fighting we were so happy it was almost insane. But it ended up being toxic to both of us. It broke me down lower than I had ever been, we were like fire and ice. I was always too passionate about things and she was never passionate enough. I loved her more than I had loved anyone before her, but in the end we decided it was time to end it for good. It was the best thing to ever happen to me. I'm now engaged to the love of my life (a man) and I've never been happier. Sometimes I miss the drama, but I'm better off without it. Edit: She moved on too, we don't speak anymore but last I heard she's found her perfect match as well and they're doing great. I don't have any hard feelings and neither does she, we just can't exist in the same space without something going wrong.

There are two episodes I can remember where I felt bad for Jade. 1. In Wok Star (I believe that was the episode anyways feel free to correct me) when she told Tori about how her dad was gonna see the play she directed and how he thinks her whole future is stupid. 2. I think people have a “too perfect” idea about relationships. Love is messy and both parties have problems because we’re human. Couples fight and sometimes say things that weren’t meant to be said or escalate the situation with volume. Some people see them as toxic but I see them as two people trying to work on themselves and growing with one another. You can’t expect relationships to be amazing all the time because the truth is fights like this can happen! Unpopular opinion, Beck was a trash boyfriend. "I want an easy relationship that's not fighting. *A month later* Oh, Jade seems to be ok without me, well now I want her back." He treated her like a child, played up the insecurity and fear of abandonment she felt to boost his ego. He was also an incredibly boring character. Jade wasn't perfect, she was angry and hard to get along with, but she had reasons for it. Beck was a jerk and people weirdly love him for it.

I used to think that Tory and Beck would be amazing, then I watched Victorious a few more times and I noticed that nobody else would have had enough patience for Jade more than Beck. If you notice, the writers gave Jade all of the negative emotions that some girls feel during their relationships with everyone and made it a personality. She was insecure, jealous and most importantly unable to pass across her emotions properly and Beck got that.

My point was that the toxic relationships, with the good sex and what not, are USUALLY the passionate ones that make you feel dizzy and drunk and exhilarated. But when love is this premeditated thing where you plan and you choose who you want to be with because they’re “good for you,” yes it’s lovely, and you’ll love that person like a dear friend, but the passion will be dull.
