Marcus I’m sitting here for 10 minute’s trying to think of something different to say about how good a coach/Jedi/ blah blah blah you are. Nothing in your video’s surprise me mate , from poor quality shot’s to stripping it , I’ve never seen or heard of anyone being that consistent in coaching. I’ve took the foot board with me to the golf and let all the boy’s and girl’s have a go and also told them about your KZbin channel. Thank’s to you and robin for posting these video’s because the have help me so much and I’m sure there’s plenty of people on here feel the same. Already looking forward to the next instalment cheer guy’s 👏👏👏👏👏

I know I’m extremely late to viewing this video and commenting on it, but it’s pure magic how you helped him instinctively rebuild his swing to a more natural movement and got him to change his focus from the ground and ball to the flight he envisioned. His swing is more fluid, rhythmic and free flowing, which makes it faster, more complete with a consistent strike. This is want we all want in our golf swing. Keep up the excellent work.

I wish this dude was in the USA . I got to a 6 handicap this year and just recently went backwards. I recently was trying to tweak my target line and a few techniques to try and get to scratch. Can’t wait to get out and apply this mindset.

Yep. Right there with you. Was hitting mostly baby draws shooting at worst 84-85. Normal rounds of 6 or 7 over. A few rounds 2-5 over. And one round of -2 when I all thought about was target. No mechanics.Then my scores soared as I kept my weight towards the balls of my feet at setup. Picked a spot on the ground in front of my ball as my target line. Perfected my takeaway. Flat left wrist. Etc....Then I discovered the golf genies videos! Diligently practiced the last 5-6 weeks on Zen concepts and I am literally jumping out of my shoes I am hitting it so pure. Ball first. Divots way in front of the ball! Never could do this before even on my best days. Much shallower attack angle. Infinitely more confidence.Played my first round at 20 over! Didn't trust it and was very tight. Next round same course 11 over. Lost 5-6 out of hard wet bunkers. Third round 3 over! And subsequent rounds of +2,+6,+7,+5! So this stuff is I think the future of golf instruction I even saw one you tube instructor preaching the very things Marcus has been preaching. Obviously he had watched many of his video lessons. Won't mention his name but I will say he is from Europe.

Practicing the low hooded 4 iron is not so crazy to me. I actually don't practice it on the range because I get plenty of practice on the course. Honestly any course with trees on either side of the fairway ... know I'm hitting that shot 10-14 times a round. I'm at the point where my tiny little brain has paralyzed any natural body motion. The last year of "thinking" through my swing process has put me in a hopeless condition. Marcus (by way of Robin) is the first hint that even I could unlearn this nonsense and climb out of this Analysis Bog!! Thanks and cheers from across the pond!

Go for it! Its amazing how quickly your body and mind can adapt to all the rubbish we have been bombarded with concerning the golf swing. I was ready to throw the clubs in the lake or the trash until I found this Zen golf site. Practiced 5-6 weeks now and have played 10 rounds since practicing Zen ideas. My first round was poor +20. But I only practiced two days with these new thoughts. Next round +11. Next 8 rounds +2 to +8 over! If I had the $ I would fly over for a three hour lesson! Probably get to under par.

@@nicholasdemetriades9154 Thanks for posting that, it gives me hope. I actually had 2 rounds where my friends commented that I was striking the ball much better. My short game is shite so my scores weren't good but I was pleased with my progress. Then 3 days ago I reverted back to bad habits and struggled badly, so I have work to do. I am going to build a balance board and I really feel like that will ingrain the proper swing flow. Old habits are hard to break. Cheers

First, love the channel, and these short vids you and Robin have created (for free!) have helped my game tremendously. However, quick question, are you saying alignment is unecessary? Then, how does one ready themselves for the shot at a target, in your belief system? On the course, on a bad ball striking day, I feel my alignment is the key culprit. Would to hear your views on alignment.

Thanks for your comment, great to hear you love the videos. Your body aligns itself autonomously when your attention is focused on the intention i.e. external focus on where you are going 👍

Thanks for the comment. I'd say IMO it's unnecessary interference. Can't think of anytime we'd use an intermediate target to align something up. Especially when we're going to stand in a different place. Your movement is adapting to your perception from the place you are stood in that moment. the body will align itself and the club for you without the need for any assistance. Got more to come on this 👍

You use analogies from other sports too much. Stick to golf. If someone said stick this in the top corner for a million, I wouldn't be curling it in. Side foot straight back and through as it produces the most accuracy much like a ground side foot pass. Darts....lots of players aim the dart In front of their face and pull back to the side of their face. So not quite sure where you were going with that. One thing all mentioned sports have is alignment and it's at the core of being a good player in any sport and it promotes consistency. If finding an aim point being the golf ball helps with alignment then so be it.
@Arkade_Perfect4 жыл бұрын
You’re missing the point. If you were “side footing” it into the top corner would you be thinking about what your hips and knees are doing or would you be thinking about the flight of the ball and the target?

@@bencrew4376 Why? Because he is a good golf player and a mediocre darts, snooker and footy player it gives him the right to make poor analogies between the sports? @Arkade_Perfect4 жыл бұрын
Ben Wilkinson well tbh it works for me. I played national league basketball and can’t remember ever thinking about what parts of my body were doing. When it comes to golf I was doing literally the opposite...so he doesn’t need to be great at darts to get a message across.
