@50:41 "Nobody" should stand between husband and wife. 🙏🏻 Astrological compatibility must. Some participants said: Guidance is must. Ongoing guidance. Very nice idea of discussing family issues. Very nice discussion. Very nice inputs by experienced couples. I want to add something. Please forgive me for advising tone. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Even more important than guidance is audience by seniors, siksha or diksha guru's. Not just grihastha's, but any conflicting devotees must get "audience" first. If both sides of conflicting devotees are heard patiently, that releases their accumulated anger in front of seniors. And seniors act like buffer to neutralize it. Or else some day it will be unleashed towards opponent side resulting into widening gap. Once they are heard, their anger is neutralized, now they are in position of reception of hearing advice of seniors. But mostly conflicting people don't get audience of seniors. If at all they get something from them, it is advice without even hearing their problems. And it doesn't work in most cases. Also, it is generally concluded that problems are due to "lack of Krishna consciousness". And they are advised to "improve their sadhana". But for most devotees, the opposite is true. I.e. "their sadhana is not good because of problems". Also real problems are not dealt with instead they are advised to "chant more, that will solve all their problems". Yes, it is true that "Harinam is solution to all problems". But it is also fact that it doesn't work in most cases. May be due to "insincerity for Sadhana or lack of Krishna consciousness". But it is also not right to expect from a person in problem to do Harinam more sincerely to solve one's problem. Rather seniors may chant more and pray for devotees in trouble on their behalf. They give enough time to hear the problem. Give practical solution for the problem rather than general solution of improving chanting. They should judge the real culprit of the problem if any and advice accordingly or with the goal of uniting them advise accordingly. Advising (or sometimes even punishing) the victim instead of culprit may be dangerous. In conclusion: Audience, right judgment, practical advice.

Indeed, I told my wife that it was important that I would only make friends with other men, and she with other women because of our human nature and our need for intimacy (which I am not putting down but accepting). In large, we are friendly with other married couples. Secondly, we agreed on how to manage our marriage in a practical way. By this way, it makes life that bit easier while we aim towards our spiritual home.

Devotee marriages don’t usually work out from what I’ve seen. In the West most devotee women were influenced by feminism and then there is the whole idea of being married celibates which is absurd
@mahaksadas39802 жыл бұрын
If couple is celibate or not that does not mean anything in relation to divorce. My grihasta asram is of celibate, and we never had an argument about it. The success of merriage lies only, if both of them can understand and live, that the purpose of marriage is to serve Krishna and bring children to spiuritual world. Any merriage based on material vision is doomed to fail. That is it, there is nothing more complicated about it.

Best thing therefore is to avoid marriage if possible and remain brahmacāri😊.

Brahmachari ashram is for those who have vairagya for sense gratification and intense desire to serve Krishna more and more. Not for escapists who want to run away from the duties.
@poojaagarwal20002 жыл бұрын
@@VijayRana78 No, that's not true pr... Most of the people take to brahmachari ashram because they don't want to take the trouble of a married life, they don't want to take responsibilities of wife and children and that's a very valid reason to be a brahmachari. This reason is not bad and we should not discourage them by calling them escapist. This decision of a person to be a brahmacahari is very much rare now-a-days and it is not good to discourage them. Nobody is a vairagi and the most conducive way to be a vairagi is to take up brahmacharya. Be a brahmachari and then you'll become a vairagi, not the other way round. There is no eligibility criteria to take up to brahmacharya. Anyone and everyone is welcome.

The root cause of destruction in my marriage was committing offenses, in particular vaishnava aparadha. All other problems are following automatically: no taste for chanting and seva, no faith in guru and Krishna, asat sanga and finally guru Tyaga and running away...(she)

Hare Krishna Pranaam I will be entering grihastha ashram soon, if you don't mind please kindly give examples from your personal experience of Vaishnava aparadha so that I will try to avoid committing them.

@@Bhakti-wi1pt Hare Krishna, Prabhu. In short, after more than decade in devotees association I can with clean heart tell three main Vaisnava aparadhas from my own personal aparadhas towards others and aparadhas I see around. 1. aparadha in married life that we are not able to see our spous as a devotee of Krishna, we have devotional respect toward other devotees in temple or otherwise, BUT when it comes to show same devotional respect toward our spouse we somehow forgetting that she/he is also a devotee. Which generate a lot of aparadhas. 2. a lot aparadhas internal or external are generated from own false ego. You see some equal devotee with you, but somehow or other he is more successful in preaching than you. But false ego prevent one from showing proper respect. And worst you start envy the person, but one cannot see his own enviousness because false ego has a lot logical arguments... 3. a lot of aparadhas are generated from own material desires, and in grihasta asram, you must not only deal with your own material desires but also of your spouse, children and other family members. And again those desires preventing us from proper attitude towards other devotees according to Nectar of Instruction (where is manual how to avoid aparadhas and establish loving relationships). When people are ambitious, they do not understand the meaning of being humble and the power in relationship with others of being humble. The contra arguent is, if I will be humble than others will exploit me. So it is important to understand what being humble is. Firstly being humble means that one execute his prescribe duties and do not perform duties of another.
