Love everything Fontaines D.C. have done so far. Always found Grian fascinating. When I first heard he was doing a solo album, I worried it wouldn't live up to Fontaines' back catalogue. But this is actually my favourite project Grian has been involved in so far.

I can't thank you enough Grain Sir . For having the courage and conviction to tell it exactly as it is . People are Scum and that includes our own family close to home unfortunately anf as hard as it is to take. But rather you know that than perpetuate a lie . We can't be what we want to be. No more sad as it is or maybe than we can make others care

We all have our own individual wishes dreams and bucket list. And if I was ever to be granted 1 wish and 1 only. Mine would simply be to meet and be able to have a conversation and spend a few minutes or moment in the presence of this man. And I think I would then be willing to die a happy man myself. Because his lyrics have made me feel like my life is now somehow complete enough come what may or lies in store for me forevermore now on. Thank you very much indeed sincerely kind regards Grain . God bless and may life only treat you and yours well

❤ ❤ Words of such clarity they defy logic. Its almost as if you are redefining and adding fresh new impetus and meaning to the English language . I firmly believe you should be added to the school curriculum in order to inspire future generations of children into using the English language . As a means or way of expression and proving the pen is mightier than the sword. In order to solve problems and get people engaged in intellectual debate which can lead to positivity progress and actual real tangible change ❤❤❤❤❤

When I read the lyrics wholly I thought it might be from female POV, who maybe sings to Chatten himself (“did you know I hated your show?”) because the whole song except from the last verse is told from the first perspective. The last one, conclusion, is told from third perspective, as if the camera points out for us to see the whole picture & this verse mentions “she”. She thinks why the person she sings about follows “signs that were never there” as if her signs that she likes him. I thought that the song might be about people lying to each other in the relationships. She’s unhappy with the person she’s with but keeps it to herself & lies to him and herself, although she explains to the person that she doesn’t trust people. Grain Chatten himself said the lyrics are about the world where “everything is blue and everyone is the liar”, and that he himself thinks so sometimes (that you can’t trust people & you don’t let anyone trust yourself as well as the result).

Songs are basically like poetry and stories, they could be told from fictional character’s perspective and it’s not even that uncommon in the songs.
