There’s a theory that S8 Scar IS pirate Scar! The ship that went down was the rocket in Boatem, and the family he lost was the Boatem crew (And the tycoon guy is dead because who Scar once was is dead, and now he’s someone new!)

Here goes the story, in HC s8, instead of heading into the void or space, he sails across the sea with the boatem crew, attempting to sail to the other side of the world, collecting hats from other ship's captains, but alas, the incoming moon impacted the waves and sent their ship to the bottom of the ocean, scar however found an escape boat and skedaddled with all his hats to the far, far, away shores of the pirates SMP. But upon further inspection P!Scar realized the rest of the world was unimpacted by the moon and it twas the sea that allowed one to cross dimesions, so determined to change the future, Scar sailed back in time to the start of s8 and hastily killed his former self, taking his place and devising a new way to survive the big moon. Going through the boatem hole! However, the Grian of the original s8 timeline wasn't quite as dead as Scar thought. After being knocked unconscious by the Flying Jellies fall, he ended up on the shores of Hermitcraft season 10, where he decided to make a life for himself... until he found out about the other Grian living here. After the initial shock of seeing an alternate version of yourself, they decided they would keep the existence of one another a secret. And Having been in and surrounded by the ocean waters for so long, OG s8!Grian found himself quite frankly, obsessed. And thus became the fisher we all know and love. While the Grian of the branched timeline Scar altered, settled for a much more stable job, the Permit Manager.
