This is the closest thing to an F1 simulation game for switch, sadly. I do love GRID but I'd still rather play F1 2023. I'll have to buy it for my gaming PC, but I barely use my PC anymore since I got a switch. Or I guess this is probably more of an indycar than an F1 car, and the fake driver names seem to be fake versions of indycar drivers from what I can see. But yeah. Are there any oval tracks in this game? I haven't played it for ages. But oval tracks are some of the most exciting races to watch, especially events like the Indy 500 and the Daytona 500. So I assume they'd be really fun to play too. They're not just tracks where you only turn left. They are 3 dimensional, not flat, and that's how every oval races differently to each other and requires completely different tactics and set ups to achieve success with. That and things like the surface material, i.e. some are tarmac, some are concrete, etc In the last year or so I've become a really big fan of indycar and nascar, after having grown up watching only F1 as a kid cos I'm British, and F1 is more of a British sport than any other country as like 8/10 teams are based in the UK and there's been more British drivers than any other nationality, and I believe more world championship winners than any other nationality too. So I feel patriotic about F1. But especially last year (2022) the F1 was dreadfully boring because Verstappen had a car well beyond everyone else and so won the world championship at a saunter with nobody else even in the running for it, even his teammate Checo. Max was the only one actually fighting for the world championship. And indycar and nascar on the other hand were infinitely more entertaining than the F1. That's why they won me over. They're real drivers' championships, with the cars being waaaaaay closer in spec to each other than F1 cars are. So it's just about the best driver, not the best car. F1 is an engineering competition, not a driving one, and that is definitely very entertaining too, but yeah watching the American motorsports really was a breath of fresh air and they've won me over after I used to mock them for "only turning left" like everyone does. They made me fall in love with motorsports again after I'd drifted away from it. So if you make the same joke about "not knowing how to turn right", then just please give them a try, watch an indycar race and a nascar race. You'll see what you're missing. At least, on the day of the Monaco grand prix, watch the Indy 500 right afterwards cos they're always on the same day, and then after that is the Coca-Cola 500 from Charlotte motor speedway for Nascar. It's the best day of the year because of them all always being on the same day and are always timed so they don't overlap each other, so that fans can watch all 3 and not miss anything. It's the funnest day. So give them a watch and be as surprised as I was when indycar and nascar were both miles more entertaining than the Monaco grand prix was, at least that day, cos it wasn't a particularly great Monaco grand prix, but even so.
