Yoooooo! Right! lol When I set my camera and mic up nobody was sitting next to the gear. I shot the whole thing by myself so I was on the field most of the time while the top camera was live. And right when full ensemble hit a group of people sat right in front of the camera and was talking the whole time! So there is a lot of footage I wasn't able to use because the people in the stands were so loud. I gotta get some caution tape next time!

Spectators during ensemble are being MAD disrespectful! Like please stop talking this is a world class ensemble trying to get ready for one of the biggest shows of the season. Like shutup. I went and watched blue devils rehearse one day and there were about this many spectators and nobody was saying a word. That honestly makes me mad especially when the convo is high school color guard girls gossiping about freshman in their high school marching band and the latest deals at baskin Robbins. Ugh!! Obviously they have no idea what a privilege it is to be there and the massive learning opportunity they are in!

Either there's some sort of legal turnaround that prevents you from releasing these within a specific time-frame, or you just have fantastically slow editors... Lol. Better late than never though. Good stuff.
@gridbooknation5 жыл бұрын
I wish I could edit these faster! It just takes forever since I run all of the front end of the company by myself. The entire Grid Book umbrella is run by myself (Mark Perrett) and John Lluvera. John does all back end, product making, and emails, and I do everything you see on the front end. I recorded the summer of 2018, we had a crazy fall of 2018, the spring of 2019 the entire company almost folded, the summer of 2019 was a big rebuilding period (which we're still not out of) and now it is the Fall of 2019 and I had some time to finalize the edit and put it out. It doesn't have the Caption Annotations like the Bluecoats 2016 A Day With video, but I figured it's better to just get it finished and out there. Doing my best to get these videos out for you guys, (FOR FREE), it just takes a long time. Thanks for your patience! 🙏🙏🙏

Relax, squeeze your core, and stay on your platforms, and stand straight up. You have to practice it though.

The placement of the belly plate on the harness is important too. Make sure you can march in both Cardinal and Oblique directions without your legs or hips hitting/moving the belly plate.

Skittlz get a bass boosting program on your computer. Preferably one of the ones that lets you manually adjust rather than just clicking a button that turns it into ear rape. Or just nice headphones/speakers like they said. Bass boost is free though

Book seemed really easy in the percussion ensemble reps maybe it was just that part of the show. It was still very inconsistent almost like some of the battery were just playing lazy. Like some differing techniques in the snares specifically. Idk just my thoughts. I love these videos though. The best videos EVER in the dci KZbin era.
@reesefleming18294 жыл бұрын
consistent sound over hands. they all produce an even sound and there’s not really a reason to look the same if you can produce the same quality . idk why you’d think anything they’re doing is “sloppy or lazy” these kids spent way too much money to be lazy
