Every time the Broncos were mentioned in Season 7: "My favorite show is church." "Mine too!" (Kirk Cousins and Russell Wilson) "Javonte? It's Russ! Man, this is ridiculous. I dressed up for this. I wore my own jersey!" (Russell Wilson) "Broncos Country, I tried." (Russell Wilson) "Tbh, Russ is kinda mid. So I straight ghosted." (Pete Carroll) Quite literally all of Episode 4: Chef Russell Wilson can NOT cook Derek's Carricatures depicts a poorly drawn Miles, after the Raiders got their 1st win by beating the Broncos In Paranormal SACKtivity Is Haunting QBs, one of the chores is "Have Brett Rypien try to take out the trash." This was after Wilson missed the Broncos Week 7 match up due to injury and Brett Rypien had to start against the Jets again. Also in that episode, we see Wilson's bedroom. In his house there's a "Hang in there" cat, representing the Broncos struggling through the first half of the season. Above Wilson sleeping is a picture that says "The SubWay, The SubTruth, TheSubLight" referring to him being Christian and the fact that he was pulled from commercials at Subway. Finally, there are lots of bathrooms in his room, obviously making fun of his new house. When the chandelier crashes, he winces and says "Let's Ride". Reviewing the film, Russ says "I would have avoided it, but I've been sleeping injured for weeks." This is because Russ was actually playing through injury, and only missed a game by the time Denver reached Week 7. Later in the episode Russ says "Okay, listening to teammate feedback, and we're staying. I refuse to scramble anymore." Obviously a nod to Russ wanting to be a pocket passer when he came to Denver. Finally, he says "Why are you attacking me!? You're supposed to go through my manager!" relating to Wilson having his manager be involved with everything. "You know my name? Wow! That's what Russ always said our numbers were for." (Tyler Lockett) "So, get this. I told Geno the route to the biergarten, and he actually followed it." (Pete Carroll) "Don't worry, it's no longer Danger-Russ." (Geno Smith) In New Game Show Determines NFL Playoff Fate, Russell Wilson is seen at the front of the line for the show. Also at the end, one of the shows is "Are You Smarter Than a Broncos Head Coach?" Which is a reference to "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?" and how bad Nathaniel Hackett was at coaching. "Everyone's welcome! Isn't that right Russ?" (Dan Campbell) This quote was about no matter how terrible a season is, you can still have fun...even if it's the 2022 Broncos?? The shop Jeudy Tuesday (reference to Ruby Tuesday) briefly flashes in the background of Who Writes the NFL Script? 🤔👀Russ is also in the episode. A billboard for "The Last of Russ" (reference to The Last of Us) is seen with Russell Wilson and Sean Payton looking at each other. Hopefully... I'm not sad when I make another one of these in a year lol
