The old Lions had a band that played the fight song when Jim Martin or Wayne Walker kicked off. Both men were excellent linebackers along with Joe Schmidt. They were a proud team and we loved them

I remember all of it so well. The Lions were a respected franchise. Their defense was dominant: Karras, Brown, McCord, Williams, Lebeau, Night Train Lane, Gary Lowe, Bruce Mahar, as well as the 3 mentioned above. Loved those Lions!
