Amazing! What an absolute beautiful rendition for choir. I think one of the best I've heard no matter instrument. It is archaic Norwegian which modern Norwegians struggle to understand. For a foreign choir it is just as clear as if Norwegians would perform. The final is jaw dropping. Bravo!

For anyone old enough to remember 1950's television in the United States, the orchestral version of this was the theme music for "I Remember Mama", a half-hour series about a modern-day Norwegian immigrant family. For years I searched to find the piece again and learn its name and one day, it was played on NHK television whilst I was living in Tokyo. One of my favourite pieces.

I grew up less than a mile from where Grieg lived as a little boy. When I hear this song, I imagine the same nature Grieg must have seen and which is so integrated into his music. It gets very special when it is performed as beautifully as here in this video. Thank you!

Я буду исполнять эту прекрасную музыку на скрипке на 17 мая в Норвегии. Чудесная весенняя композиция.

Written long ago, it has such meaning today..."... I was granted to see the springtime...". Grateful.

as usual the tears start flowing within seconds of hearing this beautiful work. very heart touching. the vocal arrangement is superb and adds another dimension--I do believe Grieg himself also made an arrangment for soprano and strings---

I've seen a lot of comments on youtube about how this or that song will be played at their funeral. I never thought I could find one for myself, but I know now that this will be it

Deeply beautiful. Masterful interpretation of the unique and hesitant music. Definitely a masterpiece. As the music itself is a unique masterpiece.

I don't what it is about this version, but it seems so much more hopeful than the others, rather than bittersweet. It is beautiful regardless.
