El Salvador has way better waves then those close-out waves in Brazil. Grif was not over scored at all. Grif choose the better waves in his heat and didn't fall trying to over surf his waves. GO GRIF, SO CAL IS BEHIND YOU!

@@surflix4306 not sure you guys have access to wsl brasil in Portugal, but wsl brasil commentators and even social media purposefully support Brazilian athletes (I don't even watch it, but that's part of their comms strategy), whereas wsl global as far as I know was supposed to be neutral / unbiased.

The commentary is not heard by judges. It makes zero difference if they say good or bad. Griffin easily won this heat. I’m not sure why you Brazilians can’t get out of your own way. Wtf? You cry about every score that isn’t making one of your guys win.

@@Giggle-ing sure, judges can't hear comments live, but they can hear the head judge (which if you watch make or break is just like any other commentator, totally biasing their scores) and they can hear comments after the broadcast, just like we're hearing now. In Filipe vs Kanoa, Leo was on the booth and mentioned Filipe was his favorite surfer on tour and that he would love to be able to do a turn like Filipe and Mitch said he could definitely do it, whereas in this broadcast there is no comparison to Griffin, he is the best, second to none, blablabla. Anyone can see

The commentry is getting so bias towards certain surfers is really hard to watch. WSL this is a joke, it is quite clear the commentary team have been told to overhyped certain surfers and talk down others. Nothing against Griffin it's all on the WSL
