Hey Buddy, Thank you so very much for posting this review. I was on the fence with a lot of different choices regarding Lever Jammer Arms. I have some standard Frey Fitness ones that I got on a whim for a Black Friday Deal, they work okay, but the setup was daunting with moving the Spotter Arms to function the way I liked them too with the exercises I choose the setup and it was marring and beating up my uprights in the process. All that being stated, I was heavily leaning towards the Vendetta Strength upgrade kit with the Kaizen Gympin adapters, I also considered the Bells of Steal and after market over seas options, but after watching your video I decided this was a great option as well and ordered the Griffin Lever Arms for my Power Rack. Thank you again for your help. Take care-

Not sure if you made your decision yet, but I suggest going with the shorter 35” Rogue lever arms to attach to the inside of your center rack posts. Assuming you have a 41” rack inside measurement and an Ares system too. This way it gives you more options to lower and raise the lever arms to various heights by using the fold down safety arms instead. This is a more economic work around and leaves the front posts free to move the pulleys up and down without a lever arm being in the way or a vendetta system that takes up additional post space. Good luck with your decision.

I did end up getting them and I ended up putting them on the outside of my rack. I see your point and recommendation. So far they work better then I previously had, but they are heavy to move. Thank you again for you help on this matter @@GB0066

Hey what’s your opinion of these? This is still the only video I’m able to find on them.
@juggernautota6 ай бұрын
@@time.4174 I did go that route and I have been using mine every week. Lot's of folks who get Jammer/Lever Arms don't use them because of the setup time and placement needed to use Spotter Safety Arms, but I have no issues with mine and they work really well for me. I mainly use them for shoulder press, bench press and shrugs. Although, from time to time I also use them for a leg press option whenever my back isn't feeling up to doing squats, but that feature only works okay at best however there are loads of exercises a person can come up with using them. End short of it all I would recommend these Griffins as a good option as I have used other brands before and Rogue is nice but unless someone gets the Vendetta Strength Upgrade kit and Kaizen Gympin Adapters it would almost be twice as much and do basically the same stuff with barely miner adjustments. Hopefully, that helps. Take care-

You've had it for a year now still love it? What have you learned to love or dislike after using it for so long? Please reply considering this or Crandalls.

I like them. I don’t love them and I don’t hate them. They seem durable and do what they need to do and I didn’t spend a lot of money of them. I think there is better options. The Crandall ones I haven’t used but I see some a few things I like and a few things that I maybe wouldn’t like. Tough to say since I haven’t used it. Probably either would be fine. I think if I could go back I probably wouldn’t have bought my arms and held out since every company is coming out with a lot of arms and we are finally seeing some innovation. I think that will trickle down and probably in 2 years we will see a really good cheap pair of arms where right now I consider them pretty good especially to what they were 5 years ago.

Hello. Really nice review. You’re still the only person who has reviewed these arms as far as I know. Do you still like them? Also, do you feel you’re missing out on getting the best range of motion you can because there are only 5 adjustment holes? That’s what is holding me back on these. Thanks!
@greg3jensen6 ай бұрын
That was my biggest worry. I did drill one more hole between the first two holes. This just keeps it 2-3 inches from the rack which is actually really nice. I find myself lifting or lowering the arms in the rack to get the right position since I don’t have as many holes on the actual device. That being said once I find the right position I just have a list of the exercise I want and I have listed what holes I have everything at and I set it up pretty quick. Going back would I have changed my purchase…..maybe. That being said the arms are only 5% of my workout. If it was a bigger part of my workout I would have done a different set up.

@@greg3jensenthanks for the very detailed reply man! So you mentioned if you had to do it again you’d go with a different setup. Is this simply because of the not enough holes thing? It’s mind boggling they didn’t already include a hole where you drilled it. They didn’t include it on the new 2.0 version either. Again mind boggling. The only other options I see for more holes with a trolley system is to get a set that’s compatible with the vendetta adapters or the Halo arms and the Halo arms are hella expensive so no way would I consider those.
@greg3jensen6 ай бұрын
Yeah. Mostly the hole setup for why I wouldn’t do it. I’m 90% happy. But going the Vendetta way would have been nicer. Yes Halo is pricey. My guess is REP will come out with something cool within the next year

How’s play in the arms and in the sliding attachment? I picked up the bells of steel one and they just have a lot of slip and play. Oh and do these lock into place in the down position?
@greg3jensen6 ай бұрын
I little. Not noticeable while using it. It fits well to my REP rack and I bet it fits even better on a true 3x3 rack like rogue or Bells of Steel. I imagine all brands have a little play.
@infamous1427 Жыл бұрын
I didn't know you cants take its apart. I have a rep 5000 ares. That might be a problem.
@kyles83918 ай бұрын
Depends on your needs. I ordered the REP PR5000 and the Ares 2.0 and will get jammer arms that will just stay on the front posts. Chatted with a guy who has the Ares 1.0 and he mounted his arms below the pulley handles. It prevents him from using the bottom from pin slots but he said it's not an issue and worth the benefit that the versatility the arms provides.
@michaeltylermedia10 ай бұрын
Do you feel the horizontal safety pin is always needed? My rack does not have pin inserts on the sides so curious to know if it feels secure enough without the side pin added when working out
@greg3jensen10 ай бұрын
I imagine it would be fine. You could always put a pin under the arms in case they did fail but they feel pretty solid to me

@@greg3jensen thank you for the reply. You are literally the only review on these arms and the free movement is definitely more of a sell than others. Thanks!

So are these better than the rogue with vendetta?
@greg3jensen Жыл бұрын
I think Vendetta is probably the industry standard. If someone has the money to buy rogue or REP or whomever and then Vendetta add ons I think it’s a sweet combo. Griffen seemed to do a good job with trying to get vendetta like trolley and of course they have the articulating function. Even after my purchase I wonder if I should have done the Vendetta route? Either way I think they are both good set ups
@TheMattfranz Жыл бұрын
@@greg3jensen I've said this other places and i'll say it here too - its criminal that most manufacturers don't design in articulation/stops into their arms. Spend $400 -$1000 for the arms then another $300-$400 for vendetta, just to give you this basic function? Dealbreaker. The only 2 I've seen with these functions designed into them are Griffin and Crandall.

Thanks for posting this. Ordered the PR-5000 rack and the Ares 2.0 and have been looking at lever arms. These look great and I like the articulation feature. I'm waiting to see what the new PRx Halo arms will look like when pre-orders are announced next month. I've heard rumors and based on Coop's first look at the Ares 2.0 last month that REP is releasing new jammer arms: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZmjWdI15hLmGsLM

The PRx looks very nice especially if the price is good. Has some upgrades. More hole spacing and can lock out the articulation function at different angles. Curious what REP will do. We will see soon.
